Anyone Getting Married At Dreams Las Mareas

Recommended Posts

Sorry guys....i thought I was following this thread but I guess not. It's nice @@puravida2015 and @@Laks86 will be at the resort the same week hopefully we can arrange a hook up. Our group flies down on April 13-20. I just hired a photographer http://elvelophotography.smallfolio.com/ they come highly recommended. If you're interested I can give you the contact information of the coordinator I am using. I had a glance at the photography rates at the resort and the prices are ridiculous for amateur resort photography.

The Dreams of Love and Ultimate both come with photos. It's probably better to get one of those packages instead of the Paradise package because by the time you add in all the other extras you'll end up paying the same amount. But not really sure.

We selected the Ultimate package as well. Haven't really heard many updates but looks like they added a couple of room pictures on website.

Today is CR Independence Day so don't expect much response from anyone! :)

Hi ladies

I got my rate for 100 per night. A lot of the rate has to do on the timing of your wedding. Jan to April is considered high season and in high demand so prices are double. 2nd week of april after easter prices drop in half and the closer to rainy season the cheaper it gets. I was looking over the price list for dreams riviera cancun just to get some sort of idea how much things will cost and I saw that the dj package is 1500!!! I think it will be cheaper to fly in our own dj and split the cost by 3 brides that are getting married close together. I know some amazing ny djs and I offer them a free trip to costa rica in exchange to 4 to 5 hrs of djing at wedding I think they will go for it.

Also I was looking to hire a local planner that can negotiate prices with the hotel and bring in cheaper vendors would anyone be interested in that? Maybe we can get a special rate if a lot of us use same company.

We also talked about decor options offered by the resort so I would be open to looking other decor options as well. I'll see if I can find your group on FB. Thank you

Hi ladies,

@@Laks86 I did hire a photographer and in conversations with two DJS. We will definately need a DJ for a party so if you can come up with something Laks, that could work for me. The only thing I am concerned about are the vendor fees. When I spoke with Rocio she said she is not sure yet but vendor fees can be up to 500 per vendor. I mean that's ridiculous!!! Since the resort hasn't been in contact with me I am going to find my own vendors and then resolve this issue about the vendor fees. I found this awesome florist however they are quite slow in responding. I haven't harassed them in a while because I've been trying to finish my project at work. I can send you their packages and pricing and we can try and negotiate something as a three bee special.

Oh...one thing i did find out was that the food cost will be 75.00 per person for adults and 45.00 for children for those that took the ultimate package. I wish i had known that sooner but guess it's too late now. Lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
