Has anyone gotten package rates for Fall 2015 yet, or is it still too early?

I have my packages for February 2016 already so fall is defiantly not too early! The more time you can give you guests to save the better- also, some brides here have had their resorts sell out at 1 year ahead and were forced to scramble and move resorts that could accommodate their guests- so definitely work to lock in your wedding date/local AND get your package set!

I talked to a travel agent last week - one of the ones recommended on this site - and she said it depends on the supplier and the resort. I was looking for October next year and she said it was still too early for the ones I was looking for.

If you have a travel agent, talk to them. They're the best ones to tell you if they can get you rates now for fall next year or not.

Good luck!

  • 3 weeks later...

The websites themselves won't do it but a TA could. Maybe some resorts just won't allow pricing that far out? We know it can be done as some ladies on here have. Not sure, sorry!!!

My only thought is to ask another TA or wait.

I agree with @@peachykeen159

the rates are higher than normal when I booked my group rate this far out.  There is a guaranteed price drop match through Sunwing so we will be stalking the prices for a price drop at some point.

I have not been able to get the Wedding Package prices for 2015 from the Grand Sunset Princess.  If anyone receives this info, please share :)

I have requested it but I know it takes time.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
