Anyone Else Overwhelmed With Cost?

Recommended Posts

I have seen those handkerchiefs and think they are so cute and special.  Was definitely thinking about getting one for my mother in law.  @@NJBride2014 did you get one for each parent?

@@Sabes44 I got one for my mom, grandma, grandpa he's walking me down the aisle, my mother in law and my father in law. The seller that I posted from etsy was great to work with but I would order with time because it does take a couple weeks to get it.

I love this website, and I am glad I found it, but man for someone who is a self proclaimed, very UNartistic person, I sure do have a ton of DIY projects floating around in my head. Haha!

We bought the dress, necklace for BMs and suits, ties and socks for groomsmen, plus we are paying for both mom's and BM's makeup and hair.

@@Sabes44 I'm very overwhelmed with wedding projects but im excited too. Im also doing a church ceremony at home before cancun which is like planning 2 weddings. Help me! Jk

I would love to help if your were closer! :) I am an event planner and used to do weddings also.  We are also doing a legal ceremony here at at courthouse the week before and I have to go out of town for work that week, so that will be "fun" leading up to it lol

I'm definitely surprised by how much food + drink costs for the wedding at an ALL INCLUSIVE! Seems so silly when everyone would be eating and drinking anyway. I'm sure some of it is for staffing but, I would call it a service charge instead of telling people to pay for something their guests already paid for.

I've accepted it, but still :)

That is how they really make their money!  I am just trying to stick with my original plan of keeping it simple.  Maybe adding a few things, if they will bring a lot to the wedding, but otherwise sticking with simple!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
