My Guests Are Booked - Should I Still Send Out Wedding Invitations?

Recommended Posts

I did because I really wanted to make message in a bottle invites. We only had 60 people (most were couples) invited though, so I only made 40 bottles.

I had 52 people booked before i actually made invites. However many people still wanted the actual invites as they don't use the Web site much. My grandparents have their invite in a scrap book. I also sent out invites to people i didn't initially ask and as a result we have 78 guests attending. With that being said, I think it's a nice touch.

me too...

**** I plan on doing the same thing. I do think that you should send them.

This is exactly what I want to do!  im glad im not the only one... seems like it doesnt make sense to send it to ppl that are not interested in going at all... plus if it is a smaller amount, i wont mind doing it on etsy and having it done really nice :)

I did boarding pass invites/stds that directed people to book and to our website... And am not planning on doing a formal invitation... BUT I am doing passports sent out to everyone who books, about 2 months before the wedding that details the plans of the wedding week and acts as an Invite/program/welcome letter.

I sent out events invites on facebook then I sent out my website and let people book that way, but my mother is still making me send out invites. She said it is the proper thing to do, especially for those who cant come but will have something from you anyway

Debated this for awhile... Already had a good idea who would be attending but decided we wanted to send out invites anyway. Something tangible for people to see/hold and remind any stragglers. Glad we did because during the ordering process for the invitations we actually had a few people ask if it is too late to deposit/attend so I didn't feel as bad about spending the $$

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
