Just Ordered Waterproof Stickers For Tumblers***pic***

Recommended Posts

@@kcole123 - Yes! I posted in another thread but I think its' way down. They have a sale that ends today - 40% off! Code is "summersale"

We ended up with these. My FI liked that they were "Mexican" and looked more gender neutral haha and I liked that they were a bit cheaper than the other designs. We ordered 20 as pictured, and 20 with coral writing. We're going to use them as OOT bags with the tumblers, welcome letter and a hangover kit and some sand toys for the kiddies. Trying to keep things simple and cost effective, but we do want to show our appreciation to guests too

oh my lord This website is dangerous for the suggestions. I just ordered 2 bags one for mother of the groom and one for mother of the bride. Then I ordered 30 tote bags for guests just saying Punta Cana, Dominican Republic April 2015. It came to $207 and I saved $128.

I hope 30 will be enough. haha oh well what's done is done now. All I am putting in them is the tumblers for the guests and the tote bags themselves for a wedding favor. Oh dear lord I just hate to miss out on sales. I didn't have intentions on the totes for everyone but the sale was like calling my name. Now I hope the tumblers fill them up...hahaha

Are you giving totebags per room or per person?

@@acw271011 - Yes, I'm planning on ordering quite a bit to Buffalo. I've just been lazy in planning haha. But I will definitely start to gather stuff

I've looked in Costco but they cost quite a bit more. I was originally thinking about getting the more expensive Bubba tumblers, but everything is adding up so I think I'm going to go for the Dollar Tree ones and get those cute labels since I think people will just toss them after the wedding

I'm going to get my maracas from Amol's and ship to the States too. And prob. table clothes and chair sashes once I figure out everything. I usually ship to a warehouse in Niagara Falls that accepts packages for Canadians. Even if I have to pay taxes, it'll still be a lot cheaper!

Yes - I know quite a few people that do that. We're lucky that my step son lives in PA, so we just ship stuff there and pick it up when we go to see the grandsons.

Who are you looking at for chair sashes and cloths? I've found 2 sites that I like. For your maracas, are you having them tagged? If not, let me know. i have a site for raffia ribbon that comes in a TON of colours and also a place that does the little tags to attach to them. I bought maracas from a bride on here already and they're at home. I only got 10 and that I think will be our max so I'm good there. Plus I got her wrist coils for the key card holder. I've done designs for survival kits, and holder cards plus luggage tags but I just can't move ahead with anything right now in terms of printing. I would love to do boarding pass invites, but I'll probably play around with designing those once I'm home and trying to get back on my fee. I'm off for between 6 and 8 weeks with no complications so I figure that will give me time to play on the computer!! lol

The other thing too, check Costco online in the US. It might have been a US bride that posted about the price in Costco for a 3 pack, and I'm sure she mentioned $7. Might be worth a look. We use Sams Club instead in the US. We just find their pricing is better, and their membership is only $40 for both of us, 2 cards.

@@kcole123 - Kristy, did you see the bulk packs of 20 they have? They tend to come out a bit cheaper than ordering them individually

I was planning on one per room, but I might end up doing one per person. I'm still debating that haha. Right now, if we have the numbers we do I will do one per person. But if we have more ppl coming, than we'll do 1 per room. I wanted to take advantage of the sale, so I ordered 2 packs of 20!

And yes, definitely a dangerous site haha. My FI keeps asking why we need all of tehse things :P. I'm going to keep the inside of the bags pretty simple (but again, I say this now but watch me want to "fill it up") haha

@@acw271011 - I'm still trying to figure out my colour scheme and how many tables so I'm not sure yet!

I'm getting the maracas untagged, so yes, please send me the link for the raffia ribbon :). And thanks for the tips - I will get on it

I feel like now I should get moving on planning these things haha

Here's the site I found for sashes. I find the prices really great!! And they have a ton of colours.

NO lily, I didn't see that until after I noticed you mentioning it in one of the comments. I went back and I can't believe how I missed that. I ended up ordering them individually before I noticed. :(

Oh well not much I can do about that now. But I still got them for a little bit less than what I expected.

I didn't have intentions on getting bags. was going to just get the tumblers and give them to everyone as a wedding favor. and plus I have fans for the ceremony for everyone. I figure this is enough. now the bag is a little extra something. I really don't want to get anything else because it will add up quite a bit.

I love the stickers, I ended up getting the exactly same one's! I just picked them up from the shipping facility across the border here in Southern Alberta. Defintiely saving on a lot money.

I thought I saw on here someone was mentioning bubba kegs. We are doing bubba kegs for our guests and while you can sign up for the email alerts with Canadian tire, they aren't always on sale for the lowest price they have been (5.95) You can order them directly from the bubba website and if you order over a certain amount, you get 10-15% off plus 4.99 shipping to anywhere in the states (which I'm just having them ship it to sweetgrass)

Worth a try if anyone is interested! We are putting the stickers on our bubba kegs :) and doing personalized sunglasses in place of an OOT bag.

I am not really close to the US border where I am in Alberta. I would have a pretty good drive ahead of me..lol

Canadian Tire hey? hmmmm I will have to check that out too. I really like the Bubba kegs but the tumblers seem to be cheaper right now. I am heading into Edmonton tomorrow with the intention of getting some tumblers at Dollar Tree. So I have to make up my mind before then.

oh @ what size did you order? I ordered 3" hoping this will be good enough?

I ordered 2.5. They look awesome. I would take a picture but I am at work. Very good quality. 3 should be more than good enough, I went back and forth between 2.5 and 3 but decided on 2.5.

Yeah Canadian tire has then and if you sign up for the sale alert (you have to create an account online) they will email you when they go on sale. They go like hot cakes though, so if you end up doing them, make sure you have your people all in line to get them when they go on sale! :)

We debated doing tumblers - but then decided to cut down on the "fillings" for the welcome bags and do bubba kegs and sunglasses. We are still filling them but filling the bubba keg instead with playing cards, nail files etc. We also are omitting favors at the actual wedding for the most part because we are spending about 10 pp for the bubba kegs and such, so we are picking up beer and that will be peoples seating chart :)

The border is not too too bad, you could make a day trip out of it if you have the time. I used to live in Beaumont and it would take me 5.5 hours to the border. But if you make a trip out of it like I said, it could be worth it to bring stuff back. I have found it incredibly cheaper to ship stuff to the Montana shipping facility and pick it up. (usually 3 dollars a package). When I go get the bubba kegs, I am not even staying overnight as the duty on the bubba's will only be 20-30 dollars versus 150.00 for them to ship to Canada. Even with gas I am still up :)

it's called Montana shipping outlet (the one in sweetgrass) if you are interested! :)

Ok yeah that's a neat idea to fill the Bubba Keg's up. I think I should just go with the tumblers because I ended up ordering the totes anyway. But I will def. keep that outlet in mind and possibly if I need to order anything else to get it shipped there.

question though. how do they actually work? like what do I need to do once I place an order online? use their address as the shipping address? I have no idea because I never even heard tell of that until I seen a couple people mention it on this site.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
