So I'm planning on leaving home Sunday to head to my DW resort. My wedding isn't until Friday. My Nails grow SO fast that it isn't an option to have my manicure done prior to leaving home. Although I've heard that Palace Resort spa/salonsare decent, I've seen some pretty negative reviews about their manicured/pedicures. Has anyone visited a salon in Cancun? I think there's one @ la isla mall of the hotel district but am having trouble confirming that. Or maybe I can get a day pass to another resort that has a reputable salon? Ideas? Thanks!

@@LauraM - I'm in the exact same predicament - leaving on a Sunday and wedding on a Friday. I thought about getting shellac/gel nails done first, but my cuticles get pretty bad after a couple of days. i think i'm going to get a pedicure before I leave but have a manicure done the day before the wedding

La isla mall is literally a 5 min walk away from BP, so that's definitely another option! I did check out the spa at BP and it looks clean and they have OPI nail colours

@@tygrrlily I adore that mall and I think our chances are high that there should be a salon in there. Too bad neither of us thought to check while we were in Cancun....  I've never had any services @ the BP salon but I read the tripadvisor reviews and not many people have anything positive to say about the manicures. I've read that they're a rush-job & messy from quite a few different reviewers =( I might look into the moon-palace spa reviews and see if they're any better. It's fairly far away but we get free access and a shuttle.

@@LauraM - Yes, I wish I had looked while there! I remember noting there was a MAC store but didn't even think about looking for other services! Hmm maybe i'll get them done before w/ gel, then just have the BP spa clean up my cuticles if necessary while there

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
