Hello Ladies,

I am a Playacar Palace bride planning for 2016. While  trying to find information, I noticed it was really hard finding up to date information on Playacar Palace. Many of the Palace Resorts wedding posts are for Moon Palace and Beach Palace. While, they are great resorts and share similar information, I thought it would be great to have a thread specifically for the resort we chose for our big day. I have booked for June 2016 and plan on working with TA Teresa from Wright/Vacations4less.

Happy Planning

On the contrary Maredith. You are literally STEPS to the 5th Avenue and from there you have TONS to do. Plus right outside the resort you have snorkeling, ferry to Cozumel, world class shopping, tours to go practically anywhere!

Plus, the beach in front of the Playacar Palace has to be one of, if not THE nicest beach in Playa. It is my personally favorite for my days at the beach. I think it is the best of both worlds, you have the All Inclusive Resort yet you are RIGHT in the heart of Playa del Carmen. :)

Thanks so much! Now I'm leaning towards it even more!

All of the wedding photos I've seen taken at Playacar Palace are SO beautiful! I love it! My only concern is that it is a smaller resort, so my guests won't have lots to do

Yes it is a smaller resort. But, Playacar Palace is in a gated community called Playacar and it has plenty of shops and is very safe to walk around or bike around at night. Playacar is in playa del carmen and is less than 5 minutes from 5th Avenue and local bars and clubs. It depends on your guests and you. We are in our late 20s so Playacar Palace will give us the relaxation with plenty of access to activities. My fiance and i are also planning for a day trip to moon palace.

@@TheBHolders Thanks girl! I really love playacar palace and the location sounds perfect! Moon palace sounds amazing too! I can't decide!

Moon palace sounds great, but in my opinion it's good of you're looking to stay on the resort

Hello! Thanks for starting this forum. Playacar is at the top of my list, and was communicating back and forth a lot with them, but now they have stopped returning calls and emails. I'm looking into 2016, April. Im worried my guest are going to have to pay a lot for rooms, does anyone know if they gave you a discounted rate for your guest with a room block? I have about 75-85 guests.

I agree with earlier comments, hard to get up to date info, and im REALLY confused on if food is included with the reception prices they list our with the venue selections. anyone have an update on this?

Thank you all for looking into helping out!

@@mcrose03 the best thing you can do is read the Palace forums, whether Beach, Moon, Playacar. they all have the same rules. I started out as a Playacar Palace bride then transferred the wedding to Moon.

Also since you are asking about rooms, the best thing you can do is contact a travel agent. The ladies that run this forum are highly recommended and I am working with one as well. The agency is Wright Travel Agency. I believe there is a link on here where you can request information.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
