I was looking for an indoor location to have my wedding ceremony with a view of the ocean because of the heat, my skin is super sensitive and will turn red. I can't seem to find anything except for chapels

But I am not catholic.

For past brides do y'all feel it was hot or too hot during ceremony outside in March or April?

Hi Krystinsanchez37,

I'm not sure where you are from but i know coming from the UK that you have to be in the country for a minimum of 3 days before your wedding this doesn't include arrival day. not sure if this applies if you are from the US etc but my point would be that you will be possibly in the sun for a minimum of 3 days before your wedding unless you try to stay in the shade all of this time!!

my wife and I got married in April and it wasn't too hot maybe high 20's degrees C

however we got married out at the gazebo facing the sea so we got a nice breeze coming off the sea which kept us cool.

i would look into specific hotel to see if they offer anything in the way of ocean facing indoor locations im sure they would be more than willing to give you advise.

Mark

Hi Krystin!

Congratulations, believe me, we all suffer during the hot months here in Mexico. But where are you thinking of getting married? Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican?

In Riviera Maya there are many sheltered places that you can get married in while still enjoying a view of the water. Just depends on what country you are looking for.

Let me know and maybe I can help!

Happy Planning!

Well, during those months the weather is so hot, not humid as june to august, but hot, my recommendation si to look for december-february day which the wether is nice, not hot but still warm enough.

So for your ceremony, do it 2 hours before sunset, many hotels has locations where at this time there is shade on the venue, even outdoors.

Good luck on your wedding!!!!

Hey Krystinsanche37,  The months you choose are actually one of our best months weather wise, its not too hot, and if you are getting married outdoors , you may want to consider maybe a later ceremony like 5:30pm the sun should have mellowed down and the sea breeze in place.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
