Hi everyone!

I have a bit of a dilemma.  My fiance and I are getting married in Punta Cana next year, and we're looking for a reasonably priced supplier for wedding invitations. The catch?  His family pretty much only speaks French, and my family is pretty much all English!  We designed our own Save the Dates (it was a cute post-card with the information in English on one side and French on the other), but that process made us VERY aware of how long it would take to do our own invites.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would personally do two versions... It will keep your invites looking clean and you can maintain the same style for both your French and English versions. Simply design and the input the translated text in the French version before printing.

I agree with @@kmk2016. I would do two separate ones and mail them that way. It will definitely be much cleaner and nicer looking. I speak both languages so I know the difficulty you're facing. I don't know how fancy you want your invites, but you could always look at Vistaprint to see if they have something that would work for you. That way you could do the same design, but just change your text between the english and french. Plus they always have sales on for invites.

Good luck!

Thanks @@kmk2016 and @@acw271011.

I'm going for something clean and simple (which hasn't been easy just with our colours of butter yellow, lime green, and light gray).  Yellow seems very trendy for fall/rustic weddings, but as that isn't our look at all, it's been a challenge!  I've attached a copy of our Save the Dates, but we're open to changing things up.

The appealing reasons for wanting to find a good compromise was (1) not having to order 2 different sets and (2) the bilingualism is a part of who we are as a couple and our day-to-day lives.

At this point I'm taking all suggestions though - so if you have any for sites for good places to order I'd be more than grateful!

I understand, I am also french and although most of my family and people invited from Quebec are bilingual, I also feel like it's part of who I am and would like to incorporate it in our invitation and other aspects of our wedding. Still trying to figure out what I want to do.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
