Hi Everyone,  I've been on the hunt for a resort in the Riviera Maya for the past two weeks and have been getting stressed because we can't settle on one.  I was so glad when I came across this site yesterday.  I have been reading everyones reviews for different resorts that we are considering.  I will probably be sending direct messages to people with questions.. I hope thats okay.

Hi Shopia, i'm newbie too here. I think You can start with travel agent :)

Happy Planning

After much research, we decided on Marina el Cid....I think they only hold one wedding per day, so that was nice. My sister went there before and she said it is a really nice resort. Our planner has been helpful through the process as well....

Prior to deciding on El Cid, we were looking at the NOW resorts, but they hold 3 weddings per day and they kept getting booked in the time we were emailing back & forth with the resort. They were quick to respond, but the locations we wanted (Tequilla Deck) was not available on the date we selected.

Other helpful suggestions would be check out weddingwire.com; they have a list of hotels in Cancun area that have some helpful ratings as well.

Definitely talk with a travel agent. There are a lot of resorts that don't have reviews on here but that are absolutely stunning and have a very good wedding department. They do have forum threads about them but just no reviews, one of them being the one we are staying at. You might find what you're looking for. They can also help you narrow it down based on your budget and what you want

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
