I am so glad Secrets Playa Mujeres Brides are writing! I get married there Nov. 16 2015! I cant wait to hear more about your journey through planning!  I have not talked to the wedding coordinator yet, we just signed the contract through our travel agent. Have you seen any wedding pictures yet?

@@ginnyc I am getting married here on April 17!  When are you traveling?  How has your wedding planning experience been?  We are having issues with the florist and photographer so that has been frustrating for me.  Have you had problems?  Are you having a bigger wedding or small?  We traveled to the resort to check things out back in December and were impressed overall, though I will say that the indoor option ("ballroom") is terrible!!  You will literally be married in a dark hallway with no windows, etc.  So we are praying for nice weather…

Hi! I am new to this site, but so far I love all the info! I am attempting to schedule my wedding here at Secrets Playa Mujeres for April 2016, however have been VERY frustrated with their delay in replying to emails regarding booking the date. I am even using a travel agent and we have been unable to get anywhere for several weeks! Any suggestions or tips on dealing with them??

From what I understand there is a issue with staffing in the wedding department at the resort. Who are you in contact with?

I have gotten one response only from the email weddings.secpm@secretsresorts.com so maybe I'll shoot them an email at the one you have.

Should I be worried about the staffing issues? Do you think it will affect my overall wedding?

My fiancé is really excited about this resort, but I don't want to be stressed during the entire planning experience if they can't get it together.

They really do not start getting the ball rolling until 3 months out.  That is when things started to fall into place.  They do so many weddings that they cannot give priority so early from what I understand.  Trust me I know this is a frustrating process and I was a mess with not knowing.  But keep in mind it does all work out.  They really do know what they are doing.  When you get there as well they show you options etc and you can change prety much everything and anything if you do not like it.  I do know they have a new coordinator named Alejandra so I am sure she will contact you soon.  I have had to email for something forgotten there, and she responded from the spmweddings email within 24 hours.

Hi ladies, I am thinking of choosing the wedding Gazebo for the ceremony location but can't get more detail. Does anyone know if it's a private location? From the pictures it looks like everyone is on a rooftop is this correct?
