Fun Ways To Ask Bridesmaids To Be In Your Wedding

Recommended Posts

My fiance has 3 sisters, 2 of them go to school in Miami.  Im in New York...... I want to ask them both to be my bridesmaids but i don't know how to in a fun way from so far away.  I was thinking about going to Miami for a weekend and taking them out to dinner but its difficult to get them both together at once or even get them at all.  They're both in medical school!

Any ideas on something fun i can send them as a way of asking??

My sorority sister made photo albums for each of us. She had written about her friendship with the specific bridesmaid in the inside cover and it had photos of bridesmaid and the bride together. The last picture page didn't have a photo and she wrote something to the effect of will you be my bridesmaid and something about a photo of us from my wedding. Just a thought?

One of the girls on here recently did customized wine bottle labels.  I bought starfish glass necklaces off ebay (around $1 for the charm & I got a ribbon necklace & a box) and gave it to them with a "Will You" card inside.

The wine bottles were me.... Here is what they looked like. My girls loved them.. I couriered them to the girls that don't live close and they were thrilled when they opened the box! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1403536962.038578.jpg

@@pddcmc that is such a nice idea!

The only thing is we aren't that close. I have maybe a handful of pics with them from family events. I don't get to see them often. We talk all the time.

@@marinah84 thats a really nice idea. They love jewelry!

@@kmk2016 I can't see them yet!! :( what does the label say?

If you go to StudioBLabels on etsy, you will see them there! Super cute, awesome vendor and totally customizable.

Thanks!  If you search "Murano Glass Starfish" on ebay, you can see the different options.  The girls LOVED them - I got them each a unique one that matched (my perception) of their personality.   I told them they did not have to wear them in the wedding tho - I didn't match them to dress colors or anything, so I think they'd look kinda weird...

@@ASmooth I went to shutterfly and made a photo collage of me and each bridesmaid and got an 8x10 poster printed up of a collage of us and the words will you be my bridesmaid. I only used 3 pictures and I did it in their fav colors and got a really pretty picture frame and mailed. My sis in law and best friend loved it!!

I bought robes and made a tag that says "where this December 12 when getting ready with the bride". I also got fabric swatches of the dress colors I wanted and wrote a card asking them to be my bridesmaid. They all loved it! I gave to them in person, but it would be easy to ship these.

I got the robes at Kohls for $15/each.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
