What Are Your Fitness Goals?

Recommended Posts

I will be a hot mess the month before I go! lol Think about it, you really need to lose like 5 pounds MORE than what you want to lose…because you know you will gain at least 5 on your trip!

Thankfully I bought my dress right after Cuba when I was up weight so this loss is accounting for that hehe. I'm on par or a little less from when I bought my dress. So 5 more will work well and I shouldn't need any alterations done!!!

But.... I may lose a little more to help over Christmas as we marry less than a month after.

I'm more worried about swell hell not gaining on the trip pre wedding!

When I booked my resort, I messaged the coordinator to ensure my ceremony was the closest day possible to my arrival, just for the fact I have traveled to an all-inclusive before and came back 10-15lbs heavier! lol! I was mortified when I was told, I have 3 full days of all you can eat/drink heaven, before having to squeeze into my gown! :o

I have always yo-yo'd with my weight, from between 180lbs to 130lbs, now sitting around 165lbs (damn all those delicious engagement celebration dinners and booze ;))  Maybe I should have stopped celebrating, seeing as we got engaged almost 3 months ago! OOPS!!!

Right now, I'm fitting into a size 10/12 wedding dress, but my hopes are to order an 8, when I go for my measurements in Feb/March. I then have another 8 months to battle to stay on track (I just love food, no point denying it here!) and my dream is to be in the best possible shape of my life, maybe 140lbs, for my wedding day. After that, BRING ON THE CAKE!!!

I hear ya! We used to arrive Sunday and marry Wednesday but our flight got cancelled and we now leave Saturday. Now I have one more day to indulge. It's my wedding week and I'm

Not doing to drink water and eating celery because that's miserable and I didn't pay $$ for that. I just plan to lose a bit more before we leave so I can bloat up to my normal weight haha that's my plan anyways! Hindsight marrying right after Xmas may have been silly. And I may have got a corset back!

I would like to lose 60lbs for the wedding.  I have already lost 12.  I joined weighwatchers and I am working out about 5-6 a week.  I'm super focused right now but finding it hard at time with the stress related to planning.  I want to stress eat and I'm realizing things have to be different now.

I'm super driven to do this as this is the time I really want to feel my best.

My fiancee and I are both in need and want of losing a lot of weight before our wedding next year. In February of this year I was 242 and right now I am 188. Still have a way to go but that's why I started early. I am really proud of myself for sticking to it and having us both doing it helps of course! It would be really hard if he was eating whatever and I was eating healthy. We are both just eating healthy and working out. We have a cheat day once a week otherwise we would not stick with it, lol. Once you get into the habit of eating a certain way and working out it feels weird to not do it. I am actually excited to go to the gym now which is something I have never felt! Here are some before/after pics so far....I actually am at a size now where I feel okay going dress shopping so I have my first appointment scheduled in a couple of weeks. Yay!  :D

That's awesome! You can totally do it! We still have 9 months to go!

Planning is going fine. We put the deposit down with our TA to book our travel package already, so that's a relief. I've purchased my dress as well. And that's about all I've done, lol. The invitations are my main focus right now. I'm going to be mailing them out soon, hopefully before the end of the month. I had a snag at kinko's when I did a test print - the font came out different so I'm going to try saving it to PDF file and go to staples and see if that works. Hopefully that fixes the problem bc I don't want to have to order invites online! How's your planning ?

I have paid deposits on everything so that's out of the way (ie photo/videographer makeuparties deposit on package)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
