Help! I Want To Wear A Blush Gown....

Recommended Posts

If you're doing fuschia, with your blush dress? It will look amazing!!!!! And the guys in grey? Gorgeous all together!!! I want my dress in colour too and I've found two that I really like. One is blush and I think I'm going with the fuschia colour as well, and with the turquoise. I put the colours together with fabric swatches from Davids and I think it looks beautiful!!!!

Can you get fabric swatches ?? I meant to ask and forgot so hoping things I choose in fuschia/bright pink all match. This is my decor hehe but their dresses are from David's in begonia (bright pink).

Hahaha i will probably be ordering online but will be ordering swatches.... So when I do I will get all the pink shades. I've decided this is what I'm going to do. Blush pink for ceremony and off white for reception (with a fucshia belt that I have already purchased.) guys in grey with pink socks and ties. Since I only have 4 girls I'm still not sure if I want them in different shades of pink or if I would rather them all in fuschia and then either all in strapless sweetheart long dresses with MoH in a one shoulder version.... Or let them all be in different style (all same length) of same color. Will go group shopping before ordering to see what they think.

Hopefully with the swatches you can go with pinks that match. Not all shades do and that worries me. I had to be careful as my daughters dress is light pink and the BP is fuschia. But they worked well together but some other shades clashed.

Davids has a fabric swatch for almost every colour that they carry for their bridesmaid dresses. They charge I think it's a dollar for each sample. They're satin which is fine but at least it gives you an idea. I have the Begonia too and Malibu and Coral Reef. It definitely helps to try to figure out what you want to put together. I was originally coral and turquoise but my son's girlfriend wanted pink instead. I'm ok with it, but then they broke up and now he has another girlfriend (yes already!) I don't know what they're going to do now as far as coming with us to Mexico. He goes through girlfriends like there's no tomorrow. He's our party animal.... lol

Anyway, pick out the colours that you want and just pop into a Davids and ask for them.

Problem is if I don't order from David's the Colors may not be the same as what I go with- so I'm scared to do that. I may for the time being but will still need to grab true swatches for my actual dresses from my dressmaker.

I don't mind paying the cost. All my bridesmaids are in begonia but I just hope all my fuschia/hot pink ribbon, etc matches. My frames are fuschia too. Just don't want too many shades but I do know when you switch between fabric types , plastic, etc the color changes slightly.

Your colors are awesome. I plan to bring in the orange with the BM bouquets but main color is fuchsia.

Hehe on your son!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
