Hello @@CurlyKD! Welcome! glad to have you here!!! Te brides here are all awesome..., you will get NO work done as you spend hour upon hour planning your big day and getting ideas from these boards!

Just wanted to say welcome!!! (Ps- add tapatalk to your iPhone so you can check in via mobile too- great for getting updates as your big day approaches!)

Thank you! The information is very helpful @@kmk2016! Downloading app as I type!

Hi @@CurlyKD. Welcome and congratulations on your engagement! Did you already check with the resorts on date availability? That could make a difference in which one you end up with!

Iberostar Rose Hall Suites does allow children - it is the more expensive Iberostar Rose Hall Grand that does not allow children.

You are correct that each of the 3 adjacent Iberostar resorts only does one wedding per day. That was one of the reasons we picked it! The thought of working the day's schedule around other bridal parties gave me anxiety :) From everything I've read about both IRHB and IRHS, you can't go wrong with either. The wedding coordinators at both get rave reviews and I haven't seen one unhappy bride! So far my experience with the wedding coordinators has been great. I just emailed a list of questions and got a thorough reply the next day. So that should give you some comfort.

We choice Suites because we are in our 30s and when we looked at our guest list we knew that many of our friends would choose a resort like Suites for themselves for their own vacation. Suites seems to have nicer guest rooms and just the overall grounds look "nicer." Plus, you get access to everything at Beach if you stay at Suites, which is kind of nice!

If you have any other questions, just let me know! My wedding date is June 11, 2015 so we're getting into the thick of planning our details now while it is winter and there is nothing else to do ;)

Happy planning!

Thank you! We have a few dates to choose from back from both the IBRH and IBRS. We are choosing July because my future hubby is on plant shutdown so he'll be off on vacation already. IBRH has July 6 & 15, IBRS has July 13 or 14. We are heavily skewed towards the Suites for the exact same reason as you listed @@beckys98. July is gunna be hot, but we love the heat. We expect no more than 30 people, inviting 50-60. How big is your wedding? What colours are you having?

Sooooo excited now! :)

It will be hot - but there is always a breeze off the water, which really helps, and it cools off in the evening. My sister got married in July in Mexico and with the ceremony on the beach it really was fine. June wasn't our first choice, but it is just what worked out for us with timing and price!

We *thought* we'd be around 40-50 but based on the RSVPs we have and those who have said they are definitely coming, I think we're going to be closer to 75-80! We invited a total of 130 (including the plus ones). It is going to affect our budget, but it is a good problem to have :)

For colors - we aren't having a bridal party just because we don't want to put any extra costs on our friends who are coming and to keep the planning simple, but we'll use mostly turquoise and shades of blue for the decor. I love the colors of the water and beach! We will probably just bring colored chair sashes and something simple for the centerpieces.

It still feels like FOREVER away - but I know it'll come up fast!

Oh no!! I just opened up this post to look and see why people choose one over the other even though we have a date set. That's so strange that they told you July 14, 2015 was available @CurlyKD since that is our date that we've already paid a deposit for. Do you mind me asking when you last spoke with them? I need to give them a call to make sure my date is not given away.

We choose the suites for some of the other reasons everyone else did. It looks like if offers more a young vibe for the couples and friends that will be attending. Plus a more relax vibe for our families. We are bringing kids so that was a huge factor. Their kids area looks fun and for the age group that's coming.

So excited to be apart of such a great group!!! Can't wait to hear more stories on 2015 brides!!!

Hi girlies,

Does anyone happen to have pricing info for Rose Hall Beach? Especially if you wanted a private reception on the beach (ie, tent rental, the special menu, etc?)

Hi Kathryn - This is a little old but I attached the private beach dinner reception pricing from 2014. Full bar is an extra charge, plus you have to rent a tent from an outside vendor. We couldn't justify the extra costs so we had ours private in one of the restaurants after our beach ceremony, which was also extra but not nearly that much! Most brides I've seen compromise and do a semi-private dinner and then do a private beach bonfire party after that, which is SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper.

Hope this helps!

Hi Beckys,

Do you happen to know how much the tent rental is?

I'm sorry, I don't! We didn't go that route. But I do know the 2 vendors brides use for the rental are Cover Me Up rentals and Jamaica Wedding DJ (DJ Kevan is also the preferred resort DJ). I'm sure they could give you a quick estimate.

Hmmm..I'm not sure. You mean for centerpieces? I brought vases with candles in them for our centerpieces, but I would bet they have some sort of vase you could use, depending on how many you need.

Any former or future brides out there that may know if the Iberostar Suites has access to any glass vases? Did you plan to bring your own?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
