Iberostar Rose Hall Suites V. Iberostar Rose Hall Beach

Recommended Posts

Hi! I just joined the forum and am grateful for all the advice I've read so far. I'm trying to decide on a resort for April 2015 and having a hard time finding something great that is all-inclusive and allows kids. We will probably have about 50-60 people total. My primary question right now is:

Is Iberostar Rose Hall Suites worth the extra cost over Iberostar Rose Hall Beach? From everything I have read there doesn't seem to be a meaningful bump in amentities or "niceness" from one to the other, but there is about a $600 per person difference for a 5 night stay. And reviews for both look very positive.

Our other contenders are RIU Palace Tropical Bay and Royalton White Sands. We would LOVE to be in Negril, but the wedding options at the RIU are not getting me very excited. Royalton is well priced and beautiful, but sort of in a remote location in between MoBay and Ochi and I know some of our guests will want to venture off the resort.

(I did search the forum for this topic, but I didn't find an answer comparing the 2!)

THANKS in advance!

@@beckys98 We are getting married at the Suites. We chose it because it just gave us that wow factor we were looking for. The Beach is nice too, but the Suites just did it for me. I guess it's all in personal preference. My fiancée also loved the lazy river lol :)

Hi Ladies!

We had our wedding at the Rose Hall Beach Hotel but stayed at the Suites.  I originally wanted to have the wedding at the Suites but all the dates were booked for June and July of this year after we decided on Iberostar.  So after looking at all the reviews for the Beach Hotel we thought we couldn't go wrong and we were right. Everything was great!!  We were married on the beach and they have a section that they use near the end of the resort and the coordinators will stop people from walking by so no strangers were in our pictures!  At the Suites hotel the area where they have beach weddings are in between the Suites and Beach hotel so there are constantly people walking by or in the water.  I'm sure the coordinators will keep strangers from getting in the pictures.

Our guest all stayed at the Beach Hotel and they all had a great time!  Not one complaint from the 30 people that were there.  We actually spent most of our time at the Beach Hotel but grateful to be able to get away when we wanted alone time.

The Suites does have more of a wow factor when you walk in.  The staircase at the Suites is beautiful and a popular choice when it came to brides taking pictures there.  We had a great time at both hotels so I really don't think you can go wrong either way you choose.  But choose quickly because the dates go fast!

Congratulations on your engagement.  I will be getting married at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites this November.  We chose the Suites because for us it was only $1-200 more in cost per person, but you have access to the beach amenities.

Thanks, all! We did choose IRHS and are booked for June 11, 2015! We wanted to give our guests time to save, but I sure do wish it were sooner. I'm too excited to wait almost a year

HI there, I'm new on here and am just looking to decide between the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach and Suites. It's almost $500 difference/week/per person. The preferred date we want is July 6, 2015 and that's at the Suites. The have the next week avail at the Beach and I just can't decide which area to stay in. I've heard that the Suites don't let children under 14 in - is that true? That will make a difference as my step-daughter to be is only 10. Help is greatly appreciated! :) One thing that I did hear about the Iberostar, regardless of the property is that they dedicate one wedding per day.

Hi @@CurlyKD. Welcome and congratulations on your engagement! Did you already check with the resorts on date availability? That could make a difference in which one you end up with!

Iberostar Rose Hall Suites does allow children - it is the more expensive Iberostar Rose Hall Grand that does not allow children.

You are correct that each of the 3 adjacent Iberostar resorts only does one wedding per day. That was one of the reasons we picked it! The thought of working the day's schedule around other bridal parties gave me anxiety :) From everything I've read about both IRHB and IRHS, you can't go wrong with either. The wedding coordinators at both get rave reviews and I haven't seen one unhappy bride! So far my experience with the wedding coordinators has been great. I just emailed a list of questions and got a thorough reply the next day. So that should give you some comfort.

We choice Suites because we are in our 30s and when we looked at our guest list we knew that many of our friends would choose a resort like Suites for themselves for their own vacation. Suites seems to have nicer guest rooms and just the overall grounds look "nicer." Plus, you get access to everything at Beach if you stay at Suites, which is kind of nice!

If you have any other questions, just let me know! My wedding date is June 11, 2015 so we're getting into the thick of planning our details now while it is winter and there is nothing else to do ;)

Happy planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
