Now Larimar - 2015

Recommended Posts

I flew southwest and had no issues there isn't a closet however if you have an empty flight (ours was 22 ppl for 180 capacity) you'll have an overhead for just your dress!!!

Hey guys!

Any experiences about carrying your dress on the plane?  I am getting nervous about this!

I'm at the fountain and the quiet pool. What time is your ceremony?

I haven't had many issues with communication. I've been working wirh my WC since July of last year. Is there anything I can help answer? I feel like I could work there with everything I've learned the past year :-)

Our ceremony is at 4 pm.

What are you doing as far as centerpieces. And Dj? We haven't made up our minds. We booked around the same time. July maybe August.

We are at 5pm at the fountain, so right after you! I'm doing square paper lanterns, votives, and sea glass for the table decor. I am using the hotel DJ, but I hear a lot of good things about DJ mania as well. I'm also bringing in my own officiant for the wedding... I don't know how I feel about the wedding coordinator doing it. I'm rally excited about staying at NOW! I've heard so many good things!

@@Dina821 yes, they are very much on island time and are extremely slow at responding... That drove me crazy the entire two years of planning; however once you arrive at the resort you are catered too!!

@@DR2015 thank you for responding! I see you just got married, did you do a civil or symbolic ceremony? What location did you choose? I have chosen the beach and I am second guessing my decision.

@@Dina821 we chose the symbolic ceremony and did the legal "stuff" at home before we left. We had our ceremony/cocktail hour on the beach at 4-5:45 and reception in the ball room at 6-10...

We had already visited the resort two years earlier (along with a few others) which made me decide on the beach location.

Why are you 2nd guessing? I can try to provide you with some info!!

@@DR2015 there were some post of brides having their ceremony on the beach and they made statements about onlookers and lacking privacy. So I was second guessing it. We are having the ceremony at 4 and the cocktail hour at 4:30 and then the reception at 7 since we chose the pool location for the ceremony. may I ask what photographer did you use?

@@Dina821 I would agree with lack of privacy but to be honest we had 75 guest so the additional 8-10 that were sitting on the beach didn't bother me personally... They weren't rude or any thing; they complimented and congratulated us and stood to clap after the ceremony.

We flew our photographer in with us; we did get the free pics from the resort that come with the package- I was not impressed with the prints or the lady who works there she was extremely rude.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
