Now Larimar - 2015

I have her too...you should ask her to send you the spreadsheet as she will add things on it that you have agreed on...location , meals, flowers etc. I wonder if some things can be changed once you are there if you see something that another bride has done that you like better than something you have picked.

I'm curious about changes as well, we want to do a buffet, but we have children coming. Does anyone know if you can order kids meals even if you are doing a Buffett? Or maybe swap something out for a kid friendly item like hot dogs?

I have no idea about this one - we're doing sit down!! I would think with a buffet the parents can find things for the kids that they will like since there are more options.  And you can share the menu with the parents so if the kid may not like ALL the food, they can feed them something from the snack bar before hand?

Yeah Hopefully we can do kids meals or the snack bar will probably be it. My niece was adopted from the Congo, and for some reason she is extremely picky about the food she will eat. That's my main concern!

Looks like you'll be getting married the day after I arrive at the resort :)  Our travel dates (for guests) are May 20-27 with us staying until the 30th.  What dates are you there for?

Congratulations!!!  We can definitely discuss sharing decorations - what are your colours/plans?

We are staying from the 16th to the 24th, but may alter the dates a little as we have not booked our plane tickets yet!  I have not done much with decorations yet.  I was thinking corals and oranges.  We are getting married at the fountain then having our reception at castaways. :)

Coral seems to be a hot colour! We're doing coral, teal and mint with gold accent (I believe!).

The more I look online, the more I simplify my decor.  I'm thinking 2-3 pillar candles in the middle, surrounded by some sort of wood wreath (or dark brown twine) with fake flowers in our colours.  Then maybe little shells on the table and candle favours for each guest (lit so they are part of the decor).

I'm thinking now I won't do any chair sashes at all.

Your wedding plans sound dreamy!!! I would have loved the fountain but didn't want to tie ourselves into the $1500 charge for the extra decor - without the plank I'm not sure how it would go and I wasn't risking it.  Castaways would have been amazing, but the $3000 isn't in our budget for it!

Some of the pics without the chair sashes look great so I'm starting to think no chair sashes also. I probably am going to splurge on some flowers though...was going to do a dyi for the bridesmaids bouquets but the fresh tropical flower ones look so great. Is anyone else getting the divine package? Are you adding a photographer ?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
