Now Larimar - 2015

Recommended Posts

I'm giddy - went to the NOW site today and on the wedding's page, my date now shows as 'partially booked' (it was wide open before!!!)

But a question - does anyone have Yeomandry as their coordinator? I was dealing with Michelle MacPherson at first (who was AMAZING in answering questions and getting us booked) but now I'm worried - Michelle was so great at responding, and I don't know what to expect from Yeomandry.....

I need to book my time soon, I'm considering paying the 100 dollars to book the "free" wedding and then in a few weeks being like never mind I want the divine package and paying the difference! Has anyone done this?

Hey everyone!

We're booked for May 1st, 2015 @ Now, fountain ceremony and pool reception!

We have Luisa as our WC and so far has been good, but can take days for responses. Like a lot have said on the threads, they deal with 3 weddings a day so our weddings aren't top priority this many months ahead of time (unfortunately!)

Love connecting with people to try and figure this whole thing out so by all means message :)

Happy planning,

Dana

Hi!

We're booked for July 24, 2015 @ Now Larimar.  We are having our ceremony at the Fountain and the reception at the Pool!

It's still a year away, but I'm so excited!

Has anyone decided what they are going to do for centerpieces?  Are you just going to pay them for them, or are you going to diy and bring them with you.  When I asked about simple centerpieces that would be 3 candles at different levels they told me that would be 100 dollars per table?

I think I'm bringing mine with me - I'm debating either doing a coloured plastic charger plate with sand, shells, tea lights and a lantern in the middle, or a plastic floating candle bowl.  I can't justify the resort cost for centrepieces.

I will probably bring tablecloths/runners/or draping fabric for the centre too.

What I have heard other brides do is rent the vase from the resort and put the bridal party bouquets in during the reception?

@@KAT2015 and @@DR2015 I know they are so expensive, Kat we are thinking of doing the same, bowl with beads water and floating candles, and just packing them since we will most likely fly southwest. DR2015, if I needed that many centerpieces I would probably just pay for them as well, we only invited 35 though so I'm thinking 3-4 tables/centerpieces

Yeah, it helps that I only have one brother and he only has one sister.  We wanted super small and intimiate as I get kinda shy when all the attention is on me.  We kept it as immediate family and close friends.  I am going to go ahead and send out invitations anyways, but we already will know who is coming as we set up a group package and got a great rate for anyone who pays their hundred dollar deposit soon!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
