Anyone getting married at Now Larimar in 2015?  I am newly engaged and ready to start planning!  Right now I am heavily leaning towards Now Larimar for a May 2015 wedding.

Congrats and welcome to BDW!

I would highly recommend that you search through the forums and do some reading. I can almost guaranteee that whatever you're looking for has already been asked and answered here. Just to to the search bar at the top and type in your resort. There will likely be several forum threads that pop up. You'll find everyone here more than willing to share and happy to pass on their tips and advice so definitely get into readying mode and have fun!

Good luck and happy planning!

I am all booked for Feb 2015, and beginning the planning process now! I read through a lot of the posts for 2014 brides and there is some really good information in that forum. But I hope that we have some other 2015 brides that start to post on this feed as well.

Hi Ladies!

Now Larimar is a beautiful resort. It's not TOO big which is perfect for it giving a more intimate feeling and has gorgeous grounds! You can see a full wedding we did at Now right here: {http://www.shoeboxphotography.ca/now-larimar-punta-cana-wedding-emily-matt/} along with their romance session on the Now beach: {http://www.shoeboxphotography.ca/punta-cana-sunrise-engagement-session-emily-matt/} Enjoy!

& I'm happy to answer any questions you may have on anything at all!

Enjoy planning your weddings beauties!

Hey all, this is my top contender for our wedding in oct. 2015, I was just wondering about people's impressions of the resort? I spend too much time on trip advisor and their reviews stress me out. ARe the rooms nice at this resort? Will everyone be happy if they are at the preferred club level? I'm trying to not be too expensive so more can come, but not trashy! Our biggest issue is the beach, I love gorgeous beaches, live by siesta key, is it nice there? Thanks all, any advice is appreciated!

Hello all!

My fiance and I just got engaged last week and are booking at the Now Larimar for May 25, 2015.

I have asked for a beach wedding, and a poolside sit down dinner reception.  I am a little concerned about some of the additional costs (like decor - they really bare bones it) but we only get married once so we'll have it all figured out!  I know they said they don't charge for programs or favours, so I might try to make our programs pretty enough to hang on the chairs (ahem, decor) and our centrepieces to actually be small favours for the wedding reception (like candle holders or something).

I do have to say I am EXTREMELY impressed dealing with Michelle over the past couple days.  She has given me prompt response to lots of questions (normally within an hour or two).

I have been to this resort before, when it was still the NH Real Arena - the grounds are gorgeous, as is the beach.  I am so excited I could find an affordable option for my guests (its really no more than what we would pay for a good beach in the Mayan), that is gorgeous for the wedding.

I'm open to sharing ideas, questions etc!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
