We are adding shells, sand and dried starfish to the décor though, so it will be totally perfect as we are eating on the beach :)

We are have a U shape set up with Dave and myself at the end (top table) and then 4 down each side :)

Thank you :)

Flowers were so expensive, like a little centre piece was $300 and given we would need at least 3 and we never really wanted flowers so its worked out well :)

Amazing!  I'm super impressed by how much you've gotten accomplished in a short time.  And great job on the weight loss!  getting healthy is always the goal, but must be satisfying to have to take in that dress :)

Thank you so much, yes it was such a good feeling, as much as I adore my dress I think I was more happy with the weight loss than trying my dress on again :)

Thankfully I fell even more in love with my dress during that fitting, its just perfect in every way for me :)

I emailed my planner last Monday and by Thursday we had pretty much organised the whole thing and had my first invoice.  Just waiting for the table décor to be added to the invoice and then we are pretty much completely done on the organisation.

Just the mens outfits to buy and favours to make and take with us :)

Favours, we are going to do a little message in a bottle for everyone, but we are going to write a unique message to each person so each one is unique and special to that person :) I thought it would be quite cute and a little surprise for them all, what do you think?

I'm doing pretty well!  Finishing up designing my DIY invitations is the big thing on our list right now.  I've got my dress, venue, etc.

My to do list (right now!):

  • Figure out table centerpieces
  • Shoes (thinking heels for ceremony and wedge flip flops for the rest of the night)
  • Figure out hair/makeup
  • Finish OOT bags (most everything is bought or ordered, just need to make the labels for the chapstick & the tags!)
  • Make the real touch bridesmaid bouquets
  • Make the starfish boutonnieres
  • Make Ring bearer sign
  • Make MR & MRS sign
  • Buy a "Bride" robe
  • Figure out bridesmaids presents (either customized robes or will pay for manis/pedis on top of hair...haven't decided yet!)

I'm splurging and getting a custom cake topper made, with our family plus our 3 dogs.  FI is sad we can't incorporate them into our wedding, so I thought this would be my "surprise" to him :)

2/3 of my bridesmaids are currently pregnant (well, one has a newborn haha), so we're waiting to get their dresses until Oct/November at the earliest.  5 months should be enough time (hopefully...).

Are you excited for your wedding?  It's getting SO close! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
