Thank you :) This forum is soooo helpful even after a few days of joining!

I'd say you can probably change your mind as you go along, at the end f the day, they are there to make your day as special as possible, I'd talk to the coordinator about it, I'd say it happens all the time! We have to pay our balance 30 days before hand, but I guess if we want anything changed, it should probably be ok.... must check with our hotel....

What about a blue waistcoat? To match the shorts? Or white? I
I have most stuff decided on, just a matter of pulling it all together really, I've left a lot of the planning to my fiancé's mum, she lives out in Jamaica. So she's been doing a good bit of the work for us! Its been hard, because I love having control of plans... :-D

Spoke to co-ordinator a lot yesterday, yes the majority of the final payment has to be made but changes can be made any time even after that, she said we will probably change things once we meet Claribel on-site anyway.

Ok so I will show you what Dave wants to wear and you can give me your thoughts on waistcoat colour if you don't mind :)

So the wedding colour scheme is White and Teal and this is what the wedding gazebo will look like

So Dave has said he wants all the men in shorts, shirts and ties, all men including Dave to wear the same white shirt and teal tie. Dave to stand out wants teal shorts and a waistcoat.

So Dave will have these shorts

All other men to wear this colour

Then all men to wear white shirts with this teal tie

So the problem is what colour waistcoat for the groom, I am thinking a light stone like this to break up the tealshorts and tie

I love the teal and white!!! I think definitely the stone waistcoat, it would work really well with the teal shorts a white shirt, I think a white waistcoat against white shirt would be lost.

Are you having bridesmaids in teal too? :-)

:) YAY I'm glad you think it will work, Dave really likes it all. He wants to go try it all on together this weekend!

It was mainly the waistcoat colour we couldn't work out. Do you think the shorts are smart enough?? They do have OXFORD chino shorts which are a little smarter but they only have a light pastel blue colour and I just don't think that would work as everything else is the teal blue.

That's all from NEXT so should be nice and easy to sort it all out :)

Teal is Dave's favourite colour and has a bit of a theme in our household  so there was never any question over our wedding colour scheme. We are having blue diamonds in our wedding bands too to go with the teal and beach/sea wedding so that it reminds us of the sea etc :)

Thanks :)

Glad I could help...:-) I think the shorts are perfect... once you see it all together, you'll get a better idea. It's a beach wedding, so the men can defo dress slightly more casual! And the teal is perfect for an ocean side wedding :-). We went for cadbury purple( its my favourite colour... poor Gary didn't get a choice!).

The blue diamonds sound cool, very nice touch!!! :-)

Ohhh I like the purple!!  I probably would have gone down that colour choice if Dave didn't love Teal so much.

Really appreciate the help!!  Happy to hear you decided on the dress you wanted by the way, sounds like you never totally fell in love with the first one! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
