I printed mine at home on cardstock on my inkjet printer and they look fantastic.  If I could figure out how to post a picture, I would.

I got the template from aylee's website, and off I went.

For the ticket jacket I used pink cardstock that I folded in 3, and cut the corner of one to make it look more official.  When closed up I tied them with ribbon.  I also did a luggage tag on the front that said 'Ticket to Paradise, Kim & Shawn, January 21, 2015, Mayan Riviera, Mexico'

Man I want to post pics!!!

For our pre-travel letter I plan to get them printed at Staples as they are double sided and that seems much easier and more cost effective.

Hi everyone! I'm doing my own boarding pass invitations but I'm running accross a few issues. First, it seems like all the pictures I've seen of other DIY invitations look so professional. I'm wondering what kind of printer I should be using, is laser or inkjet better? Also, what kind of cardstock should I be using to make them look a little bit more professional? Any other tips to make them stand out a little more and so they don't look like a 5 year old's art project?

I'll try to attach some pictures tomorrow since it's kind of late today.

I printed mine at home on my inkjet printer and they turned out GREAT!  Just make sure your settings give the best print, if you print on draft they won't look as nice.  I have a setting on my HP on advanced settings for maximum DPI.

Much to my chagrin, my local staples will not print on pearlescent paper. They did however suggest Fed-Ex Kinkos who has the machines to print on this type of paper. I will be going there this weekend.

Yeah we printed ours on regular glossy card stock. It's quite thick but now pearlescent. We did the sleeves on pearlescent paper but I printed those at home

@@TinkerSofi, did you have problem with ink drying at home? My printer took days to try and then it still smudged.

No I didn't. I used the paper from Michael's (I'll post a pic when I get home) and I have a regular inkjet printer. I only printed the guests names on the folders but they turned out fine and none of them smudged. It might have to do with the paper perhaps?

I printed all of my (jacket in heavy card stock) and boarding passes (pearlized paper) on my home printer... It's a high end printer but still/ a home machine and it worked perfectly! They dried almost instantly and Colors are crisp and vibrant

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
