Coral...feeling Discouraged With Color Choice

Recommended Posts

I cannot find anything coral locally, artificial flowers, ribbon, any decor really. It's either orange which I hate or pink which I love but not for my wedding really....I have coral in my head lol. We are using the spa blue color for bridesmaids but I wanted coral chair sashes and coral flowers...I'm scared if I do a bouquet from the resort they won't have coral and then my sashes would clash. Anyone else go thru this and it all work out? If I go with resort flowers it will cost me about 250-300....if I go to a website it seems it will cost more to have artificial bouquets made cuz my wedding package already covers bride, 2 bm, 2 boutenneires (spelling off I know), I feel like this is one of my last big decisions and in stuck. Advice and sympathy welcome lol

When you say local - do you mean Mexico? (or wherever you're having your wedding) Did you know you can update your profile with the info of where and when your wedding is.

Have you been to crafting stores such as Michael's and Hobby Lobby? Both have a TON of coral options - bows, artificial flowers, etc. In fact, one of the stores (I'm sorry, I can't remember which) has wedding display made up of coral and grey flowers, personalized napkins, cups, bridal party shirts, etc. Good Luck!

I am sorta having the same problem with mint. There are so many different shades of mint , some more green some more blue some brighter some more dull so it's been a challenge. What if you found a colour pallet with the blue and coral you are looking for then at least you have more options of shades of coral that match or another colour that looks good with coral and blue so when u pick your flowers at resort if they don't have the exact coral they may have a colour. On your pallet. I have a hard time figuring out what goes well together so I have a pallet of 6 colours that look great together so trying to work with those.

Also micheals has tons of stuff I am from canada I hear hobby lobby is great though .

at first I thought the same thing...  I've done tons of window shopping around.   my bridesmaids  dresses are coral..   our décor is mix of white, coral and mint/light aqua blue.

I made my own bouquets.  I found a tiny small one at either Michaels or Hobby Lobby (just in floral section not in wedding section).    I opened the wrapping up and added other color flowers I liked.

for floral try Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Jo-Ann Fabrics (that is where I found mint flowers).

If you go to my gallery you can see a pic of my flowers I made.

for table /chair linens try tablelinendirect.com     they have tons of options and great prices.

another thing I did was purchased a small color swatch of the coral and blue I wanted from Davids Bridal.   I think they were about $1-4 each.  can't remember.  I carry that with me around to see if I find things to match up with it.

@@Nybride525 oh you have great taste !! :)

I am finding it easier to find items in the bright pink then in the exact mint I have so happy I chose a accent colour that's easy to match. I am making my own bridesmaid bouquets in the hot pink gerber daisy, I am not very crafty so hopefully it works out, this site is giving me some inspiration lol

I found these. Don't know if you want organza or satin.... just keep googling on the internet. I have other sites too that I'll add. There is a ribbon site that I have that I'll look and see what colours are there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
