Colour Scheme & Palette

Recommended Posts

Our colours....or rather scheme is going to be ivory, lace, burlap and light pinks with a hint of navy blue. My groom will be wearing a navy blue tie and the ring bearers have navy suspenders and bow ties.

So I showed my fiancé our color palette that I posted in the 1st post on this thread and he was not really into it. He was like: oh babe it's ok... But I really like red.

RED??? On the beach??! Nowhere near the calming soft pastel yellow I have picked!

I'm not going to add red to any part of my wedding scheme!

I was hoping he wouldn't want to be involved in the color selection :(

@@MrsRoy that sucks. Maybe you should show him red and he will see how much nicer your yellows are? or meet in between somewhere.... Or just say um no , no red , yellow lol

A friend of mine had grey and yellow in her summer wedding and it looked awesome

Oh no!  I love the yellow & gray you had picked out.  And I agree, I'm not really into red either.  Maybe you can compromise and do a sunset palette, like softer reds/oranges/yellows?

I'm so sad ladies. I feel like these decisions should be made by me lol, I'm a little selfish I suppose but I just know my way will be perfect.

Omg I've turned into a bridezilla!

My fiancé has now said he also likes aqua...

Meh I guess I can try to do a yellow/aqua combo but I feel that they are such "Easter" colors when combined ...

Also I feel too much aqua with the ocean backdrop is too much.

Ugh

I really need to work on my future hubby lol!

You are not bridezilla! This is a big decision!

the yellow, grey and hint of Aqua is a good idea I think it would look good, if the aqua is nice and bright won't look like Easter at all.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
