Colour Scheme & Palette

Recommended Posts

I’ve chosen turquoise and purple (or as the technical terms go: Tiffany Blue and Grape Jelly haha). Personally I think that colour themes are overrated and limiting, but maybe my perspective will change as I get deeper into the planning process.

acw271011 i'd be hesitant to have the gf involved like that because what happens if they break up and he gets a new serious gf...I feel like it would be awkward to have your wedding pics and album have her all over it but that might just be me. Since you want some coral or pink maybe your bouquet and then a flower in your hair. And then do chair sashes and flower petals in coral. That's what we are likely doing because the girls will be in spa blue

I didn't even think of that!!! lmao Excellent point!! and actually they have broken up officially now so yes - thankfully it was "before"  Yikes - what a rotten mom I would be!! lol

I'll figure something out. I had my heart set on turquoise chair sashes but I could always do the flowers and bouts in coral/salmon and then table decorations in that colour. The sad part is the hot pink kinda grew on me!! lol

I'm loving the turquoise (Tiffany Blue) ladies!! It's soooo fresh

I so totally agree!! I absolutely love it. I'll never have a box from Tiffany's but I can at least have the colour!! lol

@@MrsRoy - Oh I love your grey and yellow! That is my absolute fave colour combo. My BMs refused to wear yellow though haha. I ended up changing my colour scheme once I chose a destination wedding because I love vibrant colours against the ocean backdrop. But I still love the yellow and grey!

@@kmk2016 - Of course I love it!

My colours are fuchsia, blush, coral and a hint of orange with gold accents. Groom and his groomsmen will be in a light gray

We are doing mint bridesmaids and mint ties for the groomsman. I have a colour pallet I am using for inspiration but mint is our main colour. pictures really look good with bright colours so I think we will do flowers in fushia and decorations a mix of fushia and purple

@@Dreamteam17 - I love mint! I'm still thinking about putting a bit of mint in there, but don't want it to be too busy

They're coral and misty rose from J crew. I like the mismatched look

Great choices, misty rose was in the running for me at the start too, so nice. I agree mismatch gives it more character!!!

I also like different style dresses too but same colour. Since we are ordering off etsy we can choose different straps we want On the dress , hopefully everyone will have a bit of their own character.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
