We ended up booking with Air Transat as we really loved our experience with them in the past and the fact that it was cheaper than Sunwing!

Did Anyone Use Air Transat For Their Flights?

Is WJ not offering the upgrade? I got it thru air Canada

WJ does not have a first class cabin, the closest to it is "plus"... Which is awesome but I don't think they upgrade here. It's worth you grabbing these and paying the $35 fee at 24hr out though!

Ahhh I never fly first class so never pay attention. I got mine for free with AC or wouldn't be doing it then either lol. I'm all for the cheapest option with airlines.

I fly them all, the cheapest available. The only one that has stood out above the rest to me was Sunwing. I would assume Air Transat is similiar!!
@Mrsktobe - did they just send you a cheque? Apparently, Air Canada will be sending out final bills shortly and our credit will show up on there -- which I guess will just depend if everyone who put a deposit pays in full. I guess I should ask my TA exactly how that works. This is how I understood it and since we gave our guests a deadline before the actual deadline gives me time to pay mine without missing the deadline. Phew! that was a mouth full. EDIT: yup, we just get a credit to our final balance.

Most definitely! I wanted a mariachi band sooooo bad but we are already way over our budget - I think they are fantastic though and would make a great addition to a wedding!

Thanks!
A 3 person Mariachi for 45 mins, at our resort, is about $375 -- my Mexican coworker says that is way overpriced lol. I wouldn't get to enjoy it much as I planned to have them play during the cocktail hour while we got photos done. But I surely would want my picture with them!
I totally get you on the budget!! We budgeted a number and then figured out what we needed to save each month to hit that target. I realized in August all that money HAD to now be designated for our flight package and our wedding package to hit that number. So now I am using our 'other' money for the odds and ends (thankfully the big items are all purchased now) and I think because of that I have lost track a little bit of what I am spending. We are basically done now, just a few more small things.
If my numbers stand (I sure hope they do! we are so close!) that I will splurge for the Mariachi! I know there will be hidden costs I didn't bank on, but hopefully they won't kill us.
My new problem is that I have done most of my shopping now with 4.5 months left, so I sit on here and find new ideas. I have to STOP doing that.

Oh the hidden costs come at you for sure. But all in all, you seem a lot like myself where you guys are splurging only on some things and having a clear head with others. Rich and I want a beautiful wedding day but we keep taking a step back and asking ourselves if we really need some things. It's hard to do that but we have come around to other ways of doing it cheaper this way too

Oh man.. And the new ideas, YEP that's me. I avoid wedding websites (minus this one and Pinterest) like the plague so I don't see anything. Watch me come back with more after the wedding fair next week!
