Hi Everyone,

I just got engaged and we plan to get married in Jamaica since our guests coming from Europe can just get a visa upon Arrival and its Easier for them. My only concern is that the packages for them would be very expensive and im trying to find an affordable all inclusive resort and a travel agent to help me on either group rates or recommend me how can i make as inexpensive as i can for them. I am really excited that is going to be a destination wedding and i am really looking forward to it. But until i find a good affordable resort for my guests and with good wedding packages to pick from i am really stressed out. i think and hope that it will be at least 60 ppl since i have a big bridal party with 23 ppl and i also have a lot of family and friends traveling from  chicago.

Please help!

I would take to travel agents even if you don't book with them! I talked to one and she gave me her top 3 picks for Cuba [where i wanted to get married] and we ended up falling in love with her #2!

Good Luck! :)

Hi @jetagj  Welcome to BDW! And congrats!

I got married in Jamaica and its a wonderful place for a wedding!! If you are in the US, the owners of this site - Wright Travel are destination wedding specialists and have access to tons of information that will help you with your plans. I'm not sure how much they'll be able to help with your international travellers but definitely speak with them and let them know what you need.

i would highly recommend the Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica where we got married. It is very reasonably priced and they have a beautiful gazebo right on the beach for your ceremony. It's so pretty!! They also have some really nice restaurants to hold your reception and Jamaica has some really wonderful wedding photographers!!  Definitely check out both the resort reviews and the vendor reviews on this site to see what other brides have said about their experiences.

You'll find everyone here very willing to pass along suggestions and advice and there are a large number of Jamaica brides, both past and present here too so I know you'll get a lot of good information!

Good luck and happy planning!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
