Our wedding is booked for May 2015 at the Riu Ocho Rios, I done my research before booking and found both bad and good reviews but now everyime I seem to read something about the Riu Its BAD...OMG would love to hear from any past Riu Brides within the last couple of years with their experiences. Thanks :(

If you;ve already booked stop reading reviews! I got married in CUba and I had read so many reviews and they were good and then there was this slew of BAD reviews but you know what people always have something to complain about and the people who tend to go on sites often go on because they are upset. I am sure the resort will be wonderful! If there is one thing I would recommend as a past bride don't worry it was all be wonderful! Our wedding was better then we could have even imagined and I know think WHY did I spend soo much time worrying over nothing!

@@kay2015 I know I did too but you decided to have a destination wedding and you can't control everything so no need to worry it will all go smoothly once you get there and just be open minded and go with the flow and you will have an amazing time!!!!!

@@csho hope you had a beautiful wedding! I'm so guilty of looking at TripAdvisor reviews. I can't stop! I literally check the website about three times a day. Thankfully most of them have been positive so it's not making me crazy yet :)

I did too! But honestly it was a waste of time! I can't even believe what some people complained of. We had the most wonderful time!

I always read what the bad things are that ppl say - most are petty complaints I find. If I see a whack of "we all got good poisoning, had bed bugs, got stolen from etc." then I worry. Otherwise, ppl love to compain!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
