Looking For Reviews!

I am getting married at sandos finisterra in October. Lupita is absolutely awesome, she will answer any questions you have and if she doesn't know she will find out. I booked directly through the hotel and the price is better than every other hotel I looked at. I am using Bradley Fraser for photography, I found him on here. As far as rooms I set up a room block through Teresa Stauring at vacations for less. They were almost $100 cheaper per night and they also honor the room upgrade through them. If you need anything let me know! Best of luck planning

@DVon Thanks for replying!! I have been working with Lupita as well and she has been great at getting back to me. Your info is quite helpful as I was wondering if anyone has used this place. I am still waiting for her to get back to me on the room price...but someone else is suppose to get back to me on that. I will check out vacations for less also.

Thanks again for sharing the info!!!  :)

@@soulgroovy you can contact Teresa Stauring at vacations4less her email is tstauring@vacations4less.com and her phone number is 800-200-2423 ext 202. She has been great to work with. Right now they are swamped with June weddings so give her a day or two to get back to you. They gave me a much better rate than the hotel plus they offer the free room nights with every 10 rooms booked and they honor the upgrade for the bride and groom if your package includes that.

@@DVon18 I am in the midst of booking my wedding for December 2014. Did you have any issues with the resort in booking your rooms outside their group reservations dept? I have loved working with Lupita, but the other woman has been pretty slow to respond and not too helpful. I am going to give Theresa a call today to see what I can do outside of booking with them.

Also, are you using the photographer they recommend or another one?

@@Emmalu02 I was quoted a price by Lupita in the contract I signed but I reached out to Theresa right away and she gave me a much better price so I have only been working with her not the resort. It did take her some time though to get a response from sandos. I am using Bradley Fraser as a photographer, but I was between him, Juan Carlos tapia and guilda badillo. There are a ton, also look at dingo Gomez his work is really good. It all depends what your price point is, photography was pretty important to us. Let me know if you need more info!

@@Emmalu02 I just booked Gilda Badillo for my June wedding next year! She is very responsive, great prices and her pictures show her work and dedication compare to some others! :)

Also - I am using Wright as a TA for my rooms and such. Kristi is SO awesome! She has already made things so easy. The cool thing is they help you with finding vendors as well if you need it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
