We are going to Varadero, Cuba.  I would like to buy boxes of medications such as pepto, advil, etc and prepackage them myself with cute labels and bags.  Am I able to do this before hand or will I have a problem with the meds not being in the original package?

I would think it's ok because they are OTC... As long as you clearly identify what all the different contents on for your guests etc... I think it's fine. Though- it may be safer to get individually packed OTC drugs and assemble them in a bag. I don't think I would take anything that wasn't sealed (even if a friend pre-bagged them)... Plus Cuba customs can sometimes be funny about stuff.

Hmm, I would try to find sealed sample or travel packets of each of these items.  It may be a bit pricier, but I'd be afraid customs may have issues with them not being in the original packaging. Otherwise you could brig the sealed containers of stuff and "package" it all when you arrive.  Not sure how many you have, or if you're arriving before your guests, but you could always ask your BM's to help as well.

You could also try the dollar store too for travel items or online stores as well.

Good Luck!
