Kleinfield @ The Bay Experience - And My Dress!

Recommended Posts

Yes this is quite common (No pictures until you purchase)... but Im hoping the other more secretive behavior is only happening in some stores in the States and isnt the case in Canadian stores! I want to be able to try on a dress or two with my mom as she lives in Vancouver.. but I have no intentions of buying it there!

What about doing that and telling them you're from the other end of the country, so can't buy your dress in vancouver but if you settle on one to purchase you want to know what it is. Sometimes they'll write down on a little card for you what the dress style is. I've had that done for me.

I like the first dress better. It looks better on you than the model! :)

My Canadian assistant mentioned to me that when her sister was getting married they wouldn`t let her take pictures in the store. I thought that was a bit wierd.

They told me this when I went to Sophies, I figured it was pretty standard (got the same thing when I went to Indian shops looking for a dress for the Indian wedding). But at David's Bridal they told us to go nuts! I actually loved my experience there so much (it was the one in Scarborough) and I'm glad I got my dress early on because I knew Kleinfield's was coming and their dresses are WAY over my budget, but I would have never been able to resist not going if I didn't have my dress yet!

I think the original one looks fabulous on you, but they're both super pretty!

Thank you ladies! I'm happy with my dress now, and only sometimes look at the pic of the other one haha

I went to about 7-8 stores in Toronto, I think, and none of them concealed the brands or names of the dresses. They were actually all really helpful in writing down style names and numbers along with the prices!

I love love love your dress. IT's gorgeous on you. I am so anxious to get a call saying mine is in. How long before you dress gets in or do you have it already. They told me 4-5 months and it's only been a month so far :(

@@kcole123 - Kristy, I have mine already because I bought a sample! So it's in my closet. Good thing is that I can take it out every now and then and try it on and make sure it still fits :P
