why not have an updo and a half up or side sweet style in mind, and wait until you get down there to decide?

I really wanted to wear mine down - had been growing it out for nearly 2 years! but when we got down there, it was just too windy to leave it down and not have it blowing in my face. so I went with an updo instead!

Nothing wrong with having contingency plans.

I say wear it down if that's what you truly want to do.  Either swept off to the side or half up and then just pin it up later if you start to get hot or think it looks straggly.

I have hair with a mind of its own! I wear it stratight but the natural curl really comes out in the humid warm temperatures of Mexico! however so does..... the FRIZZ!

I think I will be limited to wearing it up, but if I could wear it down for initial part of wedding I would... and pin it up for a second look later in the evening!!

Mine will be up. I like the half up, but honestly don't want to deal with it.  I'd rather have it styled then forget about it.  I'm going to do a trash the dress session and figured I can wear my hair down for that.  Options are always good.  Have some favorites picked out and see how the day goes to determine style.

I was thinking about this also - love the idea of Up for wedding and Down for TTD!

I too am worried about this,. I have incredibly stubborn hair, that is thin and doesn't cooperate.

I have a dream vision in my head of wearing my hair down, with my dress and flowers in my hair. However I'm worried about the wind. I'm thinking maybe a but load of product in my hair will help it stay still?

im honestly leaning more and more to up for the wedding day - less to worry about!

I am crazy with my hair period so I would be worrying "how does my hair look" the entire time hahaha plus its so thin after a while it starts to go really flat

  • 2 weeks later...

I have really long hair and I am avoiding chopping it until after the wedding (I have chopped it off twice and it takes 2 years to grow back to my current length) BUT my hair is thin and doesn't hold styles well. I was wanting it half up/down - but I may end up with a low side bun type of style as the model in the dress I found online that I love has it that way with a flower and it looks perfect :) My hair also gets really sweaty when I get hot so I don't want to be worrying how my hair looks in pics when I am trying to party and have fun!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
