@@jennifernoel1 sorry just browsing forums to up my count and came across this! Never got notified that you tagged me.

All we have done is book the resort and our photographer. I have mostly been on here, etsy, and Pinterest for ideas on welcome bags, etc.

Still undecided on the reception. We will have to wait on the final guest count to decide. I'm going to order my invitations soon to mail those out later this year so people will have it around the time the flights become available for our date. That way they have the TA's info along with the info I will attach with the invites on deposits, etc. I was going to put everything on our website but I don't think a lot of people are looking at it and I want to be sure people get the info.

Once you book your hotel you'll rack up posts like no ones business haha. @@MissJen3 make sure you go on your app settings on Facebook and don't allow notifications for this app. Otherwise people will see what you're posting. I was so paranoid that people would see my dress when I posted it haha

@@TinkerSofi now I am parnoid. Ahaha. I will check right away

@@TinkerSofi I think it is off but Im honestly not sure how to make sure.

I had Sean (fiance) go and check my wall and he says he cant see anything so I think I am safe...I hope

go on facebook under settings and then on the left there's a column, towards the bottom it says "apps" click on there, find the one for best destination wedding and then make sure in the middle column it says "only me", otherwise click on edit at the far right and change it to "only me". You should be good to go then :)

I know it's annoying but I think it encourages people to participate and keep the forums alive ;). I started planning super early because I've been engaged for a long time. It was hard to get posts at first when I wasn't sure what resort I would book. Once you narrow it down to a few hotels or even book it you'll reach 150 so quickly. There's always so many resort-specific questions when you first book :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
