You can do whatever you want because it's your wedding and it only happens once! It's totally fine to have a really low key wedding. It might make your hotel selection a little bit harder because it's easier to find resorts that cater to small weddings rather than big ones. It's ok to feel overwhelmed as well. We had to change hotels last minute when we were ready to book and it was so overwhelming to start my whole research again. Now with the invitations it was a whole new overwhelming feeling. Just enjoy the process with its ups and downs :).

 

Don't feel bad for wanting a small, simple wedding. Some of us want to have a bit of that big "at home wedding" but close to the ocean so we kind of go all out on some aspects. In most cases your side of the planning is very minimal and you'll love that it's basically like picking your wedding from a menu! Haha. My fiancé was the same as yours, he said, "a wedding is mostly for the bride so do whatever you want as long as you don't pick red for the colors". Well that made my life really hard haha so now I narrow the choices down and ask him what he prefers. That seems to work :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
