Hi Ladies!

For one, I must say this site has been SO helpful. It really is a godsend to find other gals planning similar events and being able to see what worked, didn't work, etc. I'm really not sure how things would have went honestly had I not found this site! :)

My fiance and I are getting married at the Secrets Aura in Cozumel May 9th 2015. We feel in love with the modern and smaller resort feel. Not to mention ADULTS ONLY. ;) I haven't seen much traffic about this particular resort (or even Cozumel in general) so just curious if anyone else out there is planning their big day at Aura as well. If so, I would LOVE to hear your details and what you are planning, have been told, etc.

Congratulations and happy planning! I'm a future Secrets bride also! I will be getting married at Secrets Maroma Beach in October. We love Cozumel and I'm sure the Secrets there is amazing!

Is all of your planning done or are you still in the works? I have to admit, the email only conversations are a bit strange when first planning. I'm so scared the coordinator will miss an email! I have read enough on here that secrets does an amazing job and everything always works out, but it's hard to tame that control side of me. :)

I've got a lot of the major stuff done but have a lot of the little details left. I'm trying to get everything wrapped up by June because I have a 45 day business trip in July/August. Not very convenient timing for me!

It was AMAZING! Pati at Secrets Aura is a dream coordinator. She was fantastic. The email only communication can be a bit odd/stressful, but she is definitely on the other end and listening to everything that you want. 

 

Our wedding was on the larger side (destination wise) and we did just about every option you can imagine on the wedding list and I don't regret a thing! We had a sunset wedding on the Pier, followed by a beach side cocktail hour (with live music), then our reception dinner & dancing at Oceana (with DJ). Everyone had a ball. It's really hard not to. :)

My one tip is to do everything that you want to do! Don't hold back because of others opinions or thoughts. However, just know that regardless of how it all plays out Pati is going to take care of it and it's going to be amazing!

That's great to hear it went so well!  My fiance and I are deciding between CasaMagna Mariott in Puerto Vallarta and Secrets Aura in Cozumel...what were your favorite things about Secrets Aura and also some not-so-favorite things?  Additionally, what time of year were you married there, we have to do July because his mom and sis-in-law are teachers and I am a tad concerned about the weather that month...?  And I agree about Pati, all my communication with her has been great so far, she's been super helpful and patient.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
