Bridal Dress Shopping?!

Recommended Posts

@@kellisbaby - AH! It was really fun. I was nervous at first, but the consultants at Wedding Gallery and Clarice's Bridal were so sweet and down to earth!

Even though I had an appointment at David's Bridal, the consultant and the manager treated us like we were an inconvenience (we were the only ones in the store!, it wasn't close to closing time!, and I had an appt!). DB had some really pretty dresses, but due to the poor customer service, I think I will be purchasing elsewhere.

I found two dresses that I reaaaally love, but couldn't commit to either yet, at least not without my sissy. So, the plan is for her to fly here in the next few months and make a decision.

Are you making appts again?

@@FutureMrsGlover - congrats on saying "yes" to the dress! very exciting!!!

@pddcmc  I'm so sorry you had a bad DB experience.  Mine wasn't stellar, but it was okay.  And I was visiting my mom and kind of had to pick a dress that day.  Plus, I kind of just wanted to be DONE.  Trying on dresses was fun but so over whelming.  I am not the type to want to draw out the process.  ;)

I can't wait to see what you end up deciding on!

So I had an appointment last weekend at 2 shops and I have completely fallen in love with 3 different dresses that I will need to make a decision on..

I have another appointment booked this weekend but I am considering cancelling it.. I'm worried with adding to many now to my decision. Do you think I should cancel, or just go with it and see?

One bridal shop gave me a bra to use, and the other just did it without (since I'd be getting it altered to wear that way anyway).  I wore cute VS hipster leopard print undies that covered everything but were still cute!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
