Any Off Resort Reception Locations In Cancun?

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone has any info about any off resort reception sites like the Grand Coral Beach Club - but in Cancun instead. I saw Wicky's and Kool, but they all seem to be located in the Playa del Carmen area

Hey @@tygrrlily! 

 

Have no fear...there are a few awesome non-resort venue options right here in Cancun as well :)

 

This is a gorgeous ocean front venue just a short drive outside of the busy hotel zone so it's nice and quiet and best of all PRIVATE! It's called Ocean Weddings. There's even an adorable little gazebo right on the premises for the ceremony or a small church just down the street if you want a church ceremony.

Another pretty cool option is a private venue called Capitan Dulche on Isla Mujeres right across the way from Cancun's hotel zone. We've shot weddings there where the guests actually arrived directly to the venue's dock by boat from across the water in Cancun (how crazy awesome is that to take a boat instead of busses or taxis?).

Keep in mind that these types of venues just come with the bare minimum. The pro is you can completely customize your wedding so it's not cookie cutter. The con is working out the cost & effort required to rent everything you'll need. It would also be recommended to work with a wedding planner here in Cancun for a non-resort wedding to help take care of the finer details and day of coordinating.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
