Azul Sensatori Jamaica

Hi there fellow brides,

I'm hopefully about to book this resort for my August 2015 wedding. As the resort is not fully open yet, and as far as I am aware has not currently had any weddings, I am struggling to get info on the cost of things that fall outside of the wedding package. I would be really grateful if there are any brides out there who have booked their wedding for this year who wouldn't mind sharing some info with me. In particular approximate costs for reception, 'approved' photographers, flowers, ceremony decoration. My travel agent is being very vague and I'd hate to book and then find out that the cost of the wedding is out of our price range. With Karismas policy of imposing an $800 outside vendor fee you are pretty much held hostage by their prices.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi there,

We're having our wedding in Negril, this December at Seawind resort, were having 70+ guests. We also found it hard to get prices in the beginning too!! As far as I know, the hotel has only opened its doors a few months ago. I was in Negril in December, and they didn't look open yet.

For our wedding we're using vendors outside of our hotel, as it worked out much cheaper. The cost of the food and beverages, administration (wedding license etc..), DJ and hotel room is 6,500 USD. Our photographer is Sungolds associates, and they are costing 1325 USD, our flowers/ decor is by pat gar in Montego bay, that's including flowers, linens etc.. 2000 USD, and make up, I'm getting Queen bee, and i'm paying 350 USD for me and two bridesmaids hair and make up. I haven't got a cake ordered yet, my mother in-law is going to order it for us, closer to the big day.

These prices may change depending on inflation etc.. so that may be why its hard to get prices right now, but I hope that gives you an idea. Happy planning :-)

Thanks so much for replying. The wedding is booked!!! Unfortunately I'm pretty sure I can't use outside vendors without paying extortionate fees at the Sensatori. Luckily my travel agent managed to get me the list of prices for the added extras so I know what I'm in for! But thank you for sharing your costs, it gives me something to compare with :-)

  • 2 months later...

Hi, me and my fiancé are planning on booking our wedding here as it just looks amazing and have seen so many good reviews about the Jamaican weddings. We're booking through Thomson though and they won't give us any ideas on how much the extras cost on top of the standard wedding package. I understand everyone's wedding is different therefore so are extras but they won't really give us a general idea and don't want to book and then struggle to afford anything else.

Any ideas on costs and extras would be massively appreciated!

Thanks :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
