Dreams Riviera Cancun 2015 Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi girls. I saw on a Facebook thread someone bringing a cake stand. I did not even think of this. Is this common? Are a lot of girls doing this? Can you rent one from the resort?

@pddmc Did you do a trial with The Best Moments? If so, did you have to pay for the vendor fee twice for coming to DRC twice?

@@Lbrennan0 I sent an email to the dreams coordinator last month inquiring about a cake stand.  They have them but I did not inquire about the styles. I officially enter my three month mark soon, so I will discuss then.

Morning, for any of our brides who have already gotten married at Dreams, any recommendations for activities outside of the resort?

Hi @@Sheaka !

There are so many things to do in the Riviera Maya, it really all depends on your taste and that of your guests and if you wish to all stick together or just offer your guests a day to explore. Happy to make some recommendations:

1. Day cruise/catamaran - Lots of tour companies offer half day or full day sailing trips, great way to have a private escape with your guests.

2. Trips to archaeological sites - This will likely be an all day adventure, Chichen Itza and Coba for sure, though you can do the Tulum site in a half day.

3. Eco parks like Xcaret offer a taste of Mexico culture, the natural beauty of the Riviera Maya and adventurous activities.

4. Horseback riding on the beach at Blue Venado beach club is a great group activity, they also have ATV tours.

5. Shopping trip to Playa del Carmen! Stroll along the famous 5th Avenue people watching and shopping for souvenirs.

Just a few ideas, hope that helps!

Pros: Fun stylist & artist that created a flawless bridal look

Cons: Communication with Martina

Natacha Bitsch (hair) and Carla (airbrush make-up) arrived promptly at 12:30, as arranged. They were both very sweet, outgoing, and fun. Their work was phenomenal! They did my hair and make-up, as well as my MOH and mother's. We were all finished by 3 pm.

I did not book trial run, I simply emailed several photos of "looks" that I liked. I was and still am extremely happy with how I looked. I received countless compliments alllll day and night!

Check out my planning journal for photos of my hair and make-up.

Only "negative" was communication with Martina. I became rather panicked because I had sent a payment via paypal, but did not receive a confirmation or details regarding the services I booked. After 3 days of not hearing anything, I had reached out to paypal with a complaint. This initiated communication again. Other than that, everything worked wonderfully.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
