Is or did anyone have a hard time communicating with their wedding coordinator? Mine is Elisa and I sent a email a week ago and no response. I also sent one to David too?!

@@smileitseb It's so nice to see you are still on the forum and kind enough to answer questions!!

My wedding is just about a month away!! :D I've been busy every day finalizing all the little details! My biggest decision right now is whether to extend our reception an extra hour. I'm so torn because I really do not want to spend the extra $, however, I feel like the 3 hours will fly by and I really want my guests to enjoy the party! I'm just not sure if it would be better to end the reception and continue the party at Desires.

I remember you saying you extended your reception. Was it worth it? Did you feel like the night flew by quickly? Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!

@@racht33, I also extended my reception to 4 hours. Tell her that you want to cancel the cocktail hour and ask her what would the price be for the guests over 20. See what she says. That was a deciding factor for us .

@@fhk815 i felt the night definitely flew by so so so quick!!!!!! if i were you, id definitely extend, this is prob the best day of your life, extend it ! :) Since we didn't have a formal cocktail hour, they allowed me to extend for $12 a person for every person over 20 but I also had to rent the sound system for the extra hour. and YOURS IS COMING UP so quick!!! i know you're so excited, can't wait to see your pics :)

@@racht33 yes always negotiate!!! i told them my budget and they made sure i had everything i wanted :)

@@danni hmm maybe send elisa another email? she may have overlooked it bc she responds faster than a week usually.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
