Dreams Riviera Cancun 2015 Brides

Recommended Posts

Is anyone having their weddings at the same times as another weddings? I know the resort books two weddings a day and David just told me that on my date, there would be another bride having a ceremony at the gazebo and reception at the pool terrace. I had wanted to do my entire wedding at the beach, so I was okay with that being the only location left.

However, I am really nervous about the noise of the two weddings impacting each other. He told me that as we would be at the north beach, on the other side, there should be no noise problems. Looking at a map and pictures of the resort, I think the two weddings will at least be able to clearly see each other (which I'm actually okay with).

But if anyone has any experience on whether noise would be a problem, I would really appreciate any insight. I'll be down there in two weeks to personally check it out. But this is starting to drive me nuts!

Additionally, should I be worried that I won't have their full attention? I'm assuming each wedding would have their own WC and staff right?

Thanks girls!

@@yuniedo hey girl! Congrats on booking your date!!! The blank budget planner I have is really outdated and it actually had me misled for months because basically all the prices had changed and my budget was way off! Long story short--ask David for it and he should send it right over :)

Hi! I did a site visit last February for my January 2016 wedding. I saw weddings almost everyday. The night we arrived, there was 2 weddings going on. One of the reception is the seaside grill and the other one is on the beach. Even if lets say there's a north and south beach reception, you cant hear the noise of one another. The resort may seem small in maps but in person there's nothing to worry about. There's definitely plenty of room for 2 weddings. And you actually will barely see each other. There's a good space between the north and south.

And yes we will get our own wedding coordinator 3 months prior to our wedding date and that will be assigned to take care of our wedding. :-)

@@smileitseb I'll keep my fingers crossed for sunshine on your wedding day! Plus, my experience with Mexico has been that it rains for a little bit and tend to pass quickly.

General question for everyone, did you use a TA or did you do your room blocks/airfare through the resort? And if you used a TA, would you rec them? I'd appreciate any recs since I've never used one before.

Thanks!

@@yuniedo I used a TA and definitely recommend going that route! have u already booked a room block. you should prob do that asap if not because the resort sells out (esp of the cheaper rooms) :) A TA on this site referred me to my TA, who specializes in Dreams resorts. Her name is Teresa Stauring with Vacations4Less, shes been great :)

@@smileitseb Don't fret. I heard that the rain in Mexico is sporadic - kinda like Florida rain. So it may rain briefly and the sun will come out to make it the best day ever!  Plus you may get lucky and get a rainbow in your pics! Stay positive and know that it is actually good luck to have rain on your wedding day - but in this case, we will pray that the rain occurs before your wedding.  What time is your wedding?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
