Dreams Riviera Cancun 2015 Brides

Recommended Posts

@@Sheaka I'm kinda nervous too lol. The resort is only doing my makeup not my hair. I have my friends as backup if they need to be. :)

I'm taking chargers, chair sash organza, mirrors to go under the centerpieces, and just going to wrap extra good. definitely not shipping anything, just going to check them back and forth

where are you getting your maps from? when you get there? and yes i've started working on the welcome letter for my guests which includes the meet the guests letter :)

@@pddcmc thank you for the packing list. I was looking for one of these. I'm so nervous about leaving something. One thing that I saw as a recommendation is to create a packing sheet for each suitcase so that you can double check your bags when you arrive.

@@smileitseb I can't wait to see your review of your experience with the makeup and hair peeps. I'm super nervous.

Is anyone taking items with them for decorations? How are you transporting? I'm taking some lanterns and am nervous about checking them because I don't want the glass to break. Also, what about bringing your decorations back to town. Are you shipping them back or carrying them yourselves?

Thanks and Happy Monday!

I will put maps in the bags. Have you guys already started working on your letter to the guests? Any extras planned?

I made a list of what was in each suitcase but more for if I got stopped at customs. I could quickly tell them what was in each and not be a blubbering mess :)

@@smileitseb, so you are going to check your bags that have the mirrors in them? I'm debating. I don't want to be concerned with carrying all of this stuff on the plane when I have to carry my dress. I also don't want my items to break. Ugh! I'm also traveling with table cloth overlays, candles, and my out of town bag stuff and the special gifts.

I'm going to find out about fragile shipping on the plane. Maybe the airline gives special care to those types of packages. I will try and make some calls. What airline are you flying? I was going to get maps from the resort, unless I can find some good ones online. I found this link online for welcome letter. http://tinyurl.com/nolawelcomeletter.com

@@calgarybride2015 did you take any breakable items with you? If so, how did you protect them?

Hey girls, not sure if this has been mentioned before but you can mix and match the food on the buffet menus, you are not stuck with just one! That made me so happy because I love a little from each. Just wanted to share, because my coordinator did not volunteer this info :)

Yea, I read that they may be needed when we land in Mexico. I would hope they are used to us brides bringing a ton of welcome goodies for our guests and it won't be an issue.

Leaving in 19 days, married in 22!!

I can't believe it!

Thank you girls for all the great insight. It has been a huge help to me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
