@@smileitseb - Anytime I think I am close to being finished, something comes up! lol But, that's mostly with things that I want to bring to decorate.

We are still working on writing the ceremony and vows (I really didn't care for the script the resort uses).

We also need to decide on music. Other than that, I think the big things are taken care of.

Are you getting your hair and make-up done at the spa?

I can't wait for Natalie to get back and share her wedding day with us!  :)

@@pddcmc yes the decorations are so expensive!!! like chargers/base plates....$6 each? seriously? definitely bringing!! its hard to plan decorations from so far away but im just hoping it turns out like my vision

we are still working on that too, i changed the script A LOT from the one you sent me. i used the forum on here to get a lot of good ideas but definitely need to firm it up. ive also made an appointment with the man doing our ceremony so i can ensure he says our names correctly!

i'm getting my makeup done at the spa, kinda nervous about it. im doing trial runs here before i go and bringing everything they use during my trial run just in case. and bringing pictures!! im also doing a trial run at the resort the thursday before my wedding. are u ? i know natalie did styling trio but they were just so pricey! i cannot wait to hear all about hers!!!!!

@@smileitseb - That's exactly what I did (going through the forum for the script)!

I was going to use the Spa, but I am skin is so fair that I'm afraid I'll look ridiculous. Yes, I looked into Styling Trio... cha ching! I just couldn't do it, so I've been communicating with some other vendors.

Hi ladies. Are any of you having trouble switching certain features from the package for other options? Also any brides that have already been there, are the beaches really windy? We are having out reception on the beach but I'm not hearing to many other brides are choosing that option.

@@hsocorso - I'm getting married on the beach. I'm not a big fan of the gazebo and how close it is to the pool. Honestly, I think it's personal preference. The beach can be windy, but I'm not worried about it - I'm having a complete up-do since my hair is so fine and I don't want the curls falling from the humidity, and I bought veil weights (although I've decided against a veil and am going to have a hair flower).

As far as switching features from the package to other options - do you mean transferring services? I read that they no longer do that. However, Natalie said they worked with her on a few things... so I guess it never hurts to ask.

@@hsocorso I asked to credit my cocktail hour included that we are not having, with the welcome reception im having 2 days before and she said no because it's not on the same day.

That seems a little ridiculous. Why does it matter?...maybe it has to do with staffing?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
