Dreams Riviera Cancun 2015 Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi guys! Can anyone who is getting married at the seaside grill provide a few details. It states on the Dreams website that this cost an addl $1000 I did see on here that it includes tables and chairs. Does anyone exactly how many tables chairs are included? We are getting married sept 29 of this year! We choose the pool terrace but I'm not so sure about that since a few children including my daughter will be attending and the pool is not fenced.

Hi Everyone,

I really want to commend all you ladies for the incredibly helpful tips/advice. I can't thank you all enough. I had sooo many questions and have had many of them answered just in this forum alone. So thank you, thank you!

@@smileitseb, that spreadsheet was very helpful -thank you. I do agree with everyone on here that it kinda makes you feel like they 'nickle and dime' you on everything. Hopefully my FI can do some hefty negotiating/bargaining -he's quite good.

So now that I'm pretty sure it will be Dreams Riviera, I will be setting up an appt to meet with a travel agent. I've got quite a head start since we're not getting married until summer of 2016, but I like to be prepared and I'm trying very hard not to become overwhelmed.

I can't wait to hear back from all you brides and how your special day went. Good luck to all of you and I hope it turns out spectacular!!

PS.. I would especially love to hear from any brides getting married in the month of June and July. How the weather was as far as how hot/humid and did it make a big difference in temp having ceremony in Gazebo or beach?

@@pddcmc we didn't, we're getting the tres leches cake which we had at the coffee shop at the resort, so if that's the same one - I'm a happy girl! We will try the desserts included in the platinum menu when we get there (didn't get to try them during tasting due to kitchen error)

@@ChicVivi we upgraded to seaside. Not sure if you've been to the resort, but the tables and chairs are the ones used in the restaurant during the day. You cannot substitute tables or chairs but they can arrange them in squares or rectangles, no circles.

@@nattiegams325 thanks for the info! I've never been to the resort, we should really go before our big day in sept. Can I ask one more question? I believe you must have more than the included 20 guest on the Ultimate wedding package? Did you have to pay the additional cost at the SeaSide Grill for chairs and tables for additional guest? We are expecting about 45 guest that's why I'm curious...

@@ChicVivi you don't pay extra for tables and chairs at seaside, but for every guest past the 20 included in the package, you pay extra for reception and cocktail hour. Everything included in the ultimate package is extra for each additional guest past the included 20.

Ask as many Qs as you want girl! I did when I was planning and I want to help our future brides as much as possible.

I LEAVE IN ONE MONTH LADIES!!!!

Hi ladies,

I'm looking at the Ultimate package for Dreams Riviera, does anyone know how long the Private Reception that is part of the pkge lasts for? I don't know how many hours I would budget a DJ for without this info...

Also, I'm looking at the Interactive Budget planner and I'm a little confused as to why there would be a charge for a rehearsal dinner if doing it as a non private event using regular setup of the restaurant and guests have paid all inclusive fees?

I also thought I saw a promotion going on where if a bride books their wedding this year for next year (between certain months) they will get the welcome cocktail with special hors d' oeuvres (1.5 hrs) for free. Did I read this wrong? I can't find it anywhere and I don't remember where I read it at.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
