Dreams Riviera Cancun 2015 Brides

@@TeamArceo The silver menu was never an option (it's only with the basic wedding package), food is one of our priorities so we were going with platinum despite the extra price ($12 more for guests included in the 20 person wedding package and $70 for each additional guest). We are going with a sit-down dinner since we upgraded to the Seaside Grille and we never wanted a buffet. The platinum menu is very elegant and the main meal has the option for surf and turf lobster tail and filet mignon.

I don't know about the cocktail hour because we are having one :-)

@@hsocorso Yes it's $1000 extra but all tables and chairs included

How is everyone getting all the stuff down there? Checking it all or trying to carry on as much as possible? My dress counts as my carry on as does my fiancé's suit, so we'll be checking extra bags that I figure I will buy cheap at thrift store and then just leave them there when we leave.

Most airlines will NOT count your dress as one of your personal items and will give that to you as a freebie... So if you can place your FI's suit in the same garment bag this will help out!

I'm starting to work on our budget planner form, do you guys know if we include ourselves (B&G) in the top part of the form where is asks for "# adults"? Thanks!

@@pddcmc I did, and I also clarified EVERYTHING on the form not only because I'm ocd but because I want no stress when we get there lol. So I included us and wrote out "including bride and groom"

@@kmk2016 the airline told us it's counted as our carry on :-( and also said I have to put it in the overhead compartment. So I plan on playing dumb and hopefully a nice stewardess will give me closet space!

Hey Everyone! So I actually never got to introduce myself, I was so excited I just jumped in and started asking questions!!! I am getting married at Dreams Riviera on Sunday July 19th, 2015 at 6pm. So far we have the Ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour on the beach, and then the reception by the pool! We already have 42 people booked and we haven't sent out invitations. Below is a gallery of the Save the Dates that went out. Working on invites now!!

Happy 2015 Everyone!!!

First I would like to Thank everyone for the post, suggestions, and advice. I was down to three resorts and after reading the forums for Dreams it helped me confirm what to do.

I'm getting married December 11, 2015

Even though I have a long way to go.... I would appreciate if everyone continue to share the ceremony and reception picks at Dreams and if the brides returning from Dreams after their wedding can help out on tidbits.

After reading the forum yesterday I didn't realize all the options for having your wedding and reception. I didn't realize their were vendors in the area you can rent from (please supply the company names). After reading the forum I talked with my fiance about getting married here in Chicago and doing only a symbolic wedding in Mexico. He agreed. Thanks for that tip.

The more I read the more excited I'm becoming... looking forward to reading everyone continued journey to Dreams for their Dream Wedding.

Kindest Regards

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
