Arch/gazebo Decor?

Recommended Posts

I looked into getting a chuppa on the beach because I love the look blowing in the wind with the white drapes. However I am not getting a resort package so its $900 for the basic arch! I decided to go with floral urns that we can reuse at the reception. Plus yeah, bridesmaids, groomsmen, bride and groom, beach in the background makes for some pretty awesome decor.

@@Ksarnowski, I'm in the same boat. You don't get as much out of these without seeing all the pics! And you can't do that until you get to 150 posts or pay $30! I hate it, but I'm trying!

We opted for the white fabric covered arch, decorated with flowers that match my bouquet. I purchased some glass globes for the reception that hang from the trees with a tea light candle inside. I am going to use a few of those on the arch sans candle.

We're renting two white sheers to cover the gazebo and getting two small flower corsages to hang on each side. We get white wooden chairs so we'll stick to that and I might get some pomanders for the end chairs or something along those lines. We figured the ocean will give the scene some color and the bridesmaid dresses . I saw some videos of past weddings at our venue and I found that the simpler the decor the nicer it looked

Are you all getting arch packages with each resort? Or are you bringing your own decor/tulle to decorate the arch? I haven't quite figured out which option would be better .. obviously to bring your own is cheaper, but I don't know how much I will need to get my desired look! Ahh!

We kept ours simple but upgraded a few things.  I'm actually really glad we did because the bulk of our pics are at our ceremony and I think it would have looked plain otherwise.  But I don't like too much colour because than I think it can get a bit busy

We had the white draping (complimentary) then added a crystal curtain in the back, chandelier, gold tiffany chairs, rose petals and faux bouquets attached to the aisle chairs.  My mom now wishes we had an aisle runner too but I'm fine w/ the way the floor looks

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
