Can Anyone Recommend Good Mariachi Songs?

For those of you that are having a mariachi band, what kinds of songs are you having them play? Can anyone familiar with the music make and recommendations?

If you want romantic songs, I definitely recommend "Si nos dejan." It's a well known song, an oldie but beautiful. Others I can think of "Contigo Aprendi", "Amarte a la antigua" and "Tu forma de sentir."

@@brownsugarbride You can always give them some guidelines as to the type of tempo or atmosphere you're after and they can take it from there. They could play more traditional, slower, romantic songs or really upbeat lively songs to get everyone dancing (think La Bamba) or of course a combination of both!

So my FI and I have agreed to a mariachi and have decided the moment we kiss at the altar, the mariachi will start to play (6 person) and line up 3 on either side of the aisle behind the congregation (sneaking in while the last bit of the ceremony is happening while know one pay attention behind them) and start playing.,. Where we will lead the congregation through them to the back of our ceremony space (sky deck at Azul Sensatori), to our cocktail reception. We wanted a lively and fun song to get the celebration started... Do you think El Mariachi Loco would be a good fit? We think it would definitely make everyone shocked! (They will all be watching a quiet ceremony- and then our kiss... And then POW... Let the party begin!

 

Thoughts? Appropriate? Any other suggestions that are fun and lively we can kick off cocktails with? We will have them mix in all the favorites later but want to set the mood for the first song!
