Kukua Beach Club Brides (2014,2015,2016)

Thank you so much! The planning is going great. We haven't chosen a color scheme or anything yet. We have booked our photographer, videographer, sent out save the dates, and almost have our invites ready to print and assemble. That's all we've done so far. I feel like we've done a ton more, but on paper it doesn't look like we've done much. haha. Bego has been amazing this far and was very quick to answer the million questions I emailed her. We have chosen Now Larimar as our resort. One of my best friends was married in Punta Cana a little over a year ago. They had their wedding & reception at the Jellyfish, and it was beautiful!! They chose Majestic Elegance as their resort.

Yes Bego seems like a dream to work with. I can't wait to get the ball rolling. I've been torn between Now and Kukua. But, I think I'm going to go with Kukua. I want that one on one attention:)

If you want one on one attention and privacy during your wedding then I suggest going with Kukua or another venue off the resort. I've seen quite a few weddings at resorts, and they've always been set up smack dab in the middle of people laying out on lounge chairs. There's nothing wrong with that atmosphere, and it doesn't bother some brides one bit. However, my fiancé and I wanted more privacy for our ceremony & reception which is why we are doing it at Kukua. We are paying the extra money to rent the entire venue out for the day. Good luck with decision making!!

Hi everyone! I'm getting married in 4 months and am just finding out about this restaurant! I'm in a panic because my resort only wants to serve my guests buffet-style when there are over 50 people! Now I'm panicking with a last minute dinner reception change!

Bego has gotten back to me already about the basics and has confirmed that my date is available. Now I just have to figure out A MILLION other things! Hopefully you guys have already figured out some of these questions:

Does anyone know how their transport works? Like do they pick up and drop off at the resort only at one specific time?

Is the club air conditioned?

How long does the reception typically last?

Has anyone hired any performers (saxaphonist, fire dancers, etc)? How were they?

Decorations - does Bego provide all of them and charge separately for each item rented, or does she quote a package price for everything you want?

How does the breakdown of the open bar work? Is it like if dinner is from 7-8p then we'd pay $5/pp for "dinner drinks", then from 8-11p we have an international bar at $15/pp per hr? And if we wanted the open bar throughout dinner and the reception we'd just go 7-11p at $15/pp per hr?

Sorry for bombarding but we have such a limited time!!! Thanks for your help ladies!

@@MrandMrsBonitto2016 Just wanted to let you know that Bego got back to me within a few hours and sent me the info you shared (thanks again) so I already had a ton of questions and ideas of what I wanted. She said she'd have a "pre invoice" on Friday for me! So exciting!

Thanks again for your help!  I think everything's gonna fall into place....

My BFF had fire dancers and cigar rollers at her reception last year. Both were a huge hit with all their guests!!! The fire dancers were awesome!! We plan on having both at our reception as well.

Is the club air conditioned? No it's outdoor space.

How long does the reception typically last? As long as you want it to! (If you rent the whole place out I'm sure they stay open later. We stayed until 1130 and didn't have exclusive use of the place.

Has anyone hired any performers (saxaphonist, fire dancers, etc)? How were they?

Decorations - does Bego provide all of them and charge separately for each item rented, or does she quote a package price for everything you want? Set up for 50 ppl max is 500 for deco on the beach and 500 for deco for the dinner. She provides everything!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
