I never even thought of AHR favors....is this a must thing? Wasn't planning on having a BIG thing because i want the people who do home to the DW to feel special not like "hey we could have just saved the money and come to this its just like a wedding" Was planning on playing the video of us getting married having a buffet style dinner with some dancing...but wasnt really planning on Gift bags

@SamanthaC  I don't think AHR favors are a must. Its just what you prefer. Where I live its the norm to have favors at the reception so I wanted to do that. Also I thought it would be fun to share a little something Jamaican with the people who aren't traveling with us. I think the people who go will still feel special! We are doing a lot more for OOT bags than for favors back home.

Same here, we are going to get something small from Jamaica as favors for the ahr.

I don't think we will be doing favours at the AHR, mind you that is up to my SO, he's the one planning it. But another option is picking up some candy while you are in Jamaica and doing that for favours. Keep in mind that if you are doing some jerk seasoning that is wet it will have to be refrigerated once you decant it into another container.

Thats's such a cute idea.

I was thinking a bottle of rum for each person with a favor tag.

Are you doing favors at your AHR? I was thinking of keeping ours Jamaica themed and making little jars of jerk seasoning, maybe also a Jamaican bottle opener or something. Does that sound like a good idea for favors?

I like your idea too @@Tatimrivera

I am doing t-shirts for every guest but there's only 25.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
